The apps on various platforms have been released early. Shows an image which is what the final product is more than likely going to look like. Looks similar to the Samsung Gear Fit device. Should have a built in mic as the Windows Phone version of the app states, Cortana integration to set reminders and take notes. 2 rumored battery life with hear rate monitor, steps, calories burned and sleep quality. Links to the apps for available app stores are below. Rumored to be announced this week or next week.

I'm keen. Price being a key factor.

Ideally - fitness tracking, phone control.

Bought the Microsoft Band in large size from US MS store. Shame again for only releasing a US only product. Came with a free screen protector and $5 Starbucks voucher.

Seriously, US only. Microsoft are really inept at this product launching thing. Surface has been largely a joke, although Pro 3 seems to have improved availability. Apps and services, Cortana, Here maps, the list goes on. Like the look of it though, looks sleek and not too bulky. Oddly, it looks like the iWatch renders everyone was getting excited about!

I have requested my Band ordered to be cancelled after I ordered a large size going by the sizing guide which I printed in Portrait instead of Landscape. Landscape which is true 1:1 scale says Medium size. MS online store has run out of the Medium size so will look at ordering it when it is back in stock. Hopefully they can cancel the Large size order as it is in the advanced stages of processing.

Alternatively they are launching in their home market first and seeing how it goes.

This is a first gen product in a new market for Microsoft. Launching in the US makes logistics 100 times simpler in the event of recalls/returns and lets them launch in a physical store.

It sucks for us yes - but I don't think it comes from a lack of ability. The die hards will use Youshop or similar. I will probably wait until next year.

If they won't delete the order I'll take the Large off your hands (as all sizes showing as sold out now).   Let me know

I'm very interested in the Microsoft Band. It seems to be the best band on the market at this moment.

Just got a question, if I run with the band but without smartphone, can I know how far I has run from the band?

MS has shipped my order. Once I get it, I will open it without taking any bits of the band and see how well it fits me. If it does not, I will let you know via PM if you want to buy it off me.
