I came here looking for news about the Darfield fast charger. Didn't find a useful update, but elsewhere found a document [1] in which the first two items are relevant.

The map on the ChargeNet web site shows Darfield as being "Under Construction". Often these entries include a provisional date for completion.....but Darfield doesn't.

If you want to check the status of any ChargeNet charger and, if necessary, activate a particular charger, you can do it on this page. You'd need a ChargeNet account with a payment method defined to actually activate a charger. :-)

Counties Power has a Veefil 50kw DC charger almost ready to go in Market Rd, Pokeno, on the south side of the Bombay Hill south of Auckland. It's appeared on Plugshare in the past few days, but doesn't appear to be operational yet. It wasn't on the ChargeNet map yet, either.......so this one is a bit of mystery. But it will be very handy for smaller battery EVs as it reduces the charger gap driving direct Auckland <--> Waihi from 116km (Takanini) to 93km (unless you detour down to Te Kauwhata then head on either way from there).

Of course if you have a larger battery......you don't much care.

The front fell off! Fortunately it didn't spill 20,000 tons of crude oil outside the environment.

The charger is right next to SH1 at the edge of a Countdown car park. It's fairly isolated. I've used it. Here's a photo I took in August '18 while charging the BMW i3 I'd rented from YooGo Share.

A ChargeNet 50kw DC (ChaDeMo and CCS 2) rapid charger is now live in Murchison. Along with the chargers in Reefton or Westport, this new charger makes it fairly easy to move between Greymouth and Nelson in almost any EV.

I was passing through Waverley (SH3 between Whanganui and Hawera) on Wednesday and I saw an almost-ready ChargeNet 50kw DC fast charger. Looks like it's close. :-)

Found this buried in a Stride property investor report , a Supercharger for Wellington...

"Investore also entered into a Supercharger Partnership with American automotive and energy company Tesla, for the installation of three dedicated charging stations for the new Tesla Model 3 in the Wellington area by the end of the calendar year. Countdown Johnsonville was an obvious choice, due to its strategic location near a major arterial route. The superchargers will ensure a 45-minute charge time for each vehicle, providing the optimal window within which users of this service can visit Investore’s Countdown and The Warehouse operated stores in Johnsonville."

Personally I would've thought the Venn diagram of 'Tesla customers' and 'Warehouse customers' would have a vanishingly small overlap.

The Warehouse has some nice stuff. Recently, they started selling 100% cotton shirts. For $12.

Barker's sell similar stuff for $80 and more.

We get dog blankets at the Warehouse as well as 40L plastic storage bins. We have about 150 of those.

I though that was one of the reasons they were specifically designed so you could get a double mattress in  with the seats down...... :)

Foxton now has two live ChargeNet 50kw DC fast chargers. Other sites with two chargers include Paraparaumu, Waiouru and Tirau.
