TravellingSaffa: Hi.

It’s time to replace our 2015 Leaf. We are seriously considering the model 3.

I have been trying to find a rental to do a weekend test drive. I see Snap have some on order but when I called them they have no timeframe on receiving them. There are also none on my mycaryourrental. Anyone with any ideas?
Thanks

Where are you located? The Model 3 community on Facebook is a friendly bunch and no doubt someone would be happy to let you take a test drive. Otherwise direct with Tesla for a test drive is always an option.

I doubt you’d get a whole weekend, but it should give you a good handle on if you want one.

Thanks.

I will reactivate my facebook and go check it out. Would prefer a longer duration test drive. Its a lot of money and I want to be sure.

I do appreciate the reply.

Don't bother, you will be amazed and there is no way a test drive would do anything other than blow your socks off!

LOL!

I have an extremely risk averse wife. So there is an element of a sales pitch here as well.

Try booking a test drive if your can't find a Model 3 owner who will let you drive theirs.

Picked up our Model 3 from Auckland on Friday and driving it back down to Christchurch. On the ferry at the moment.

Wow, what an outstanding car. Tesla are doing something very special here. 2 days into ownership got the V10 update which adds Netflix and a bunch of other stuff just to reinforce how far ahead these things are.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

How much time do you spent in your car that you need Netflix? Or is it for the rear seats?

Seems like a solution for a problem that doesn't really exist.

Could be good for an Interislander trip, if you could remain in the comfort of your vehicle. Air conditioning + Netflix ...

I didn't think you were allowed to stay down in the car holding area, but I guess if you could..... Personally, not for me thanks. I'll take the views and fresh air :)

My son does Karate 3 times a week. There is nowhere to sit in the dojo so I hang out in the car.

I also do a lot of driving to visit clients and am almost always 10 or 15 minutes early for appointments.

Look at me selling this car to myself. :)

The general idea with all these entertainment options I think, is to give you something to do while your car is charging. Could take 30 mins to supercharge from empty, so why not catch an episode of your favourite show...

Right, well I guess that's a valid enough reason.

Saw a nice new Model 3 driving around Tauranga a couple of weeks ago. Black with silver trim? The older gentleman driving it was pulled over, looked like he was trying to figure something out.
