I'd remove the back seats if I had it, and get some upholsterer to lay done some carpet instead.

I'm not sure if the world's shortage of microchips affects this car.

CNBC: The global chip shortage is starting to have major real-world consequences

..demand for chips is continuing to outstrip supply, and car makers are no longer the only companies feeling the pinch....

Car Advice AU: The Elettrica Cinquecento hardtop joins the cabrio, as details of the iconic Italian city car take shape.

...It's understood a right-hand-drive variant is being produced for the UK, but at this stage it remains unclear if the city car will be offered in Australia....

...Will the 2021 Fiat 500 come to Australia?

Fiat Chrysler Australia opted to offer only a 'no comment on future products' response when asked about the new 500's potential for Australia....

At the moment each EV sold in Europe helps these companies avoid significant fines, its expensive and a distraction to sell them in Oz, and theres no real stick in NZ until 2023 at the earliest.

For what in particular?

Fiat are part of FCa/Stellantis who had to group with Tesla to drop co2 fines in Eu and (as of May) are still off by 4%, though PSA were in a better shape so its likely averaged out lower.

NZ wont introduce fines for car importers until 2023 as part of a stratergy to reduce the overall fleet co2 below 105g

Europe car makers get a fine for producing co2. But this is iirc an average co2 number. So if ferrari wants to sell v12 they have to sell some millions of 500cc diesels to average out to avoid the fine.

Those million dollar bugatti, lamborghinis and porsches gonna help pay them.

And now rimac will help them sell more million dollar EVs so it's all good.

Yeah because selling a handful of million dollar cars helps heaps with 2-3bn in fines.
