I used to have an old Holden Kingswood 1971. I just put that rego in and it only costs $71.

joker97: That's so weird. For a moment i thought you were a bit weird. But then i remembered that browsers sometimes make people look foolish

Thanks, that makes me feel so much better to know I'm possibly foolish but not weird!

It's certainly not me but something strange with the browser here at my workplace (clearly not only that it's IE 11, going by the another post). Compared to the screenshots posted above, the last text on the right-hand side that I can see relates to CO emissions (ie, the only bit missing is that relating to the licencing fee).

Depends on what settings your system administrators have implemented. At my work:
- on Chrome I can't see the vehicle licensing information section at all
- on IE7 I can see the section but clicking the button for more information does nothing

Using my smartphone I can see my 1999 Falcon will cost me $198.20 and my 2008 Focus will cost me $175.20. I'll try and find previous registration documents later today and come back and edit the post with the drops.

Edit: Last year the registration for both vehicles was $287.75 each, so it's a saving of $89.55 on the Falcon and $112.55 on the Focus.

just had another look.   ACC lists my car as band L4.  Rightcar lists it as L3.  BUT with the registration number Rightcar does NOT list my car. It says this is closest we can find.   So i guess when the registration is due they will have it all sorted and it will have correct car.

That's because it is over 40 years of age, and vehicles over 40 qualify for vintage licensing costs.

My rego on my Amarok drops by almost half.  Rego was due to expire on the 25th June which was real annoying.  Went into VTNZ and filled out a MR27 form which allows you to change the rego period.  So registered for 2 weeks for $22 and then will pay the new reduced fee for the year in July.  Fairly simple form so well worth doing it if your rego comes up this month!

TimA: Im not paying much.
But what i am paying for is a new clutch and brakes for my S4.

My S4 is due a new screen protector.  With a bit of luck I'll be able to get work to pay for it.tongue-out

I did the green form at the post shop to the july 1st so that I get the most of the cheaper price. Not sure if you can still do that being that its under a month away now.

The issue people encountered where safe cars are being 'missed' for cheaper rego is now officially acknowledged..  http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11471960
