I read about this somewhere - I hate having to watch videos to get information. Energy density may be an issue, does anyone know?

Yes - there were press releases about it a few days back.

Doesn't seem to have affected the markets yet, I think everyone's taking a wait and see attitude.

I also hope it's as good as predicted. Energy storage is the big block right now in a lot of technologies..

They claim in that video that energy density is higher than for lithium ion batteries.
There is a little bit of other information out there on the 'net.
Use of dual carbon for "supercapacitors" isn't a novel concept.  Eliminating the inherent low energy density and high self-discharge rate may be the breakthrough.
Well - hopefully...
If true, then it's a game changer.  If not, then a great disappointment.
