Hello,

Our Audi S4 doesn't have any form of tints on the windows and the kids always get the sun in the face.  Just seen an offer on treatme for TintGard, but I've only ever used CarFolie and the 3m stuff.  Anyone got any experience of them?

Chris

What sort of pricing?

I don't have any experience with them but after a family member had his cars & even a room in his house done by these guys: http://www.a1tinting.co.nz, I've since used them to get my A4 and Golf GTI done. I believe it was in the neighbourhood of $250, all 3M. Excellent service & quality all round, he came to my work and did it in around an hour.

http://local.treatme.co.nz/from-195-for-professional-full-car-tint-packages-from-tintgard-value-up-to-440-1

Seems to be $210 for their premium night rider setup...

We got the best CarFolie 3m ceramic tints installed on our old car and they where great, but I'm just cautious about spending money on something that I don't have experience with.

I had my car tinted at Tintgard in Manukau, they did an excellent job and 2 years down the track it is still perfect

I also bought a one day deal thing, back then though a back door with quarter light was treated as 2 windows so my sedan was considered 7 windows and i had to pay extra which didn't sit well with me, it looks like they have now changed this practice. At the time they allowed me to upgrade form basic tint to a higher grade tint for a nominal figure.

I got the "Prestige" metal film which has a more bronzey reflective look to it versus straight gangsta black, was a great option as have black leather interior and never once have seats been too hot to touch, oh except for the time i forgot to close sunroof, the amount of heat this film cuts when car is sitting is quite amazing, well worth the cost over plastic film

Thanks Wade, this is very much appreciated.  I'll look at seeing if they'll allow Coupon upgrades now!
