I tried to watch the event for launch for Elon Musk is excruciating to watch. I understand he wants to come across as authentic and genuine, but it's time for him to find a good front man.

The kind bank he makes he can afford to get some lessons on public speaking.

Also, considering their prior models are so far into production lag they might never see the end of the line, it feels criminal to release a new model, regardless of how cool/innovative or excellent it is.

I’d love one... if I won the lotto!

1000km range and a 200KW battery pack ... incredible 🤯

He's got to actually build it instead of talk about it first...!

I am not at all sure I would pay USD200,000 for one: there are many other cars that I would prefer had I that kind of budget.

I do wonder just how many will end up panned into walls, garage doors, cars in front, lamp posts etc etc because the driver was rich but lacked the skills to safely use  a car with F1 performance on a public road...!

Wow!  Just wow!

1.9s for 0-100kph and 8 sec 1/4 mile.

Dat range!

Yep, I wouldn't mind one.

With a 200k plus budget I’d suggest there are a few other options around worth considering first (obviously if you value the overall driving experience vs. outright acceleration).

I personally would NEVER go back to a car that burnt fossil fuels.  So what other options would be worth considering first?

If I were to win the Lotto powerball tonight and decided to buy an expensive supercar this one would most likely be it.

Everyone’s got different tastes and understand if you’d never go back to internal combustion. While I appreciate how good they are (yes I have driven Tesla’s) I would only buy an electric car for day to day commuting. For fun I’d much prefer to have a classic HT Monaro. GTHO Falcon, Camaro, Mustang or for pure driving pleasure a 911GT3,

I just don’t get the same pleasure throwing a model S around the bends on the open road vs. a 911. It’s not about the speed either.

I want the 200kWh battery and the 1200km range on a charge.....

I don't care about the 0-100kph in 1.9 seconds....

Put it in a Model S.......

:-)

Model S and Model X are made to order.....and you can have one delivered in February if you order tomorrow.

That includes the 6 weeks on the boat.

It's only Model 3 that is still ramping up and hasn't met the production targets so far.

They could easily do the same as some super cars do: Limit the acceleration outside of tracks, so for instance only allow the "insane mode" (or whatever they will call it) when you are on a race track.
