Today I've managed to do Japanese to English Dash conversion for Mazda Atenza 2013 Japanese Import (also known as Mazda 6).

Now they can see warning messages in English and go through menu with ease to set up maintenance reminders:

Update on Mazda - all models: Atenza, Axela, CX-5, Demio, Roadster after 2015 with the new entertainment system: I now can convert those to New Zealand Standards so that you are getting not only English, but correct frequencies on the radio and you can use New Zealand Maps. (Note - I do not sell maps - they are available from officials with 3 year free upgrade).

Short answer is "NO".

Potentially many Asian makes and models which are sold world-wide are doable (Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda, Mitsubishi) but there has to be an incentive... There should be a strong indication that demand for conversion exists. Development of every new solution is time consuming and costly.

e.g. There were 2 recent developments with a lot of resources and time invested following requests and demonstration of 4 yard(s) full of the same models. Solution was completed and presented to 4 dealers. They are still trying to cut costs and sell cars "as is" without conversion and let buyer to sort it by themselves... and ask me to do conversion only when client makes conditional purchase ...

- before 2014 it is cheaper to swap for aftermarket one with all bells and whistles...so it is NO from me..

In JDM Mazdas (all models) starting from 2015 I convert it in a way that you able to use NZ Maps. Dealer sell those with 3 year updates.

There is an option to enable CarPlay and Android Auto in Mazdas >2015. Price for additional hardware required for that is to be announced by Mazda in Sep 2018. With extra hardware (when it is available) I'll be able to retrofit that solution into JDM Mazda (any model) >2015 - in English and with NZ Radio frequencies.

Its a linux system that is pretty easy to get into,there are a couple of fourms dedicated to it.. One cool thing to come out of it is this https://mazdatweaks.com/ . It an All in one installer that allows you to install all the mods you want including Android Auto. These guys have had Android Auto working for a year or 2 now.
