lolcano: Since these are running Windows can I in theory plug in my usb camera device and view photos/videos etc like I would on any laptop? or would I need to remove the micro sd and then insert into my Stream?

Please don't abuse if this is a silly question lol

Cheers!

Yep! You can get a cheap adapter that allows regular USB devices to be plugged into the micro-USB port. Just search OTG adapter.

mrtoken: So does anyone else have a problem with the wifi dropping every few minutes on theirs?

I can be surfing fine then it just drops, says its connected to wifi but the connection changes to limited, however my phone is still working fine on the wifi

I have had the same issue, thought it was the wireless where I am but no one else was having issues. Going to try different wireless networks today and see if same issue occurs.

well lets hope its not a bad batch.
I even changed the channel on the wireless to see if that made it better (it did not)
Mine did work a lot better when I was using it away from the router, however like I said before it was only having "issues" while i was installing and setting everything up.  It was a lot better once that was done.

wifi driver update possibly?

It looks like Amazon have run out of stock/stopped selling it directly currently. The cheapest currently listed is sold by 'antonline' for $19 more than Amazon were selling it. Hopefully Amazon will stock it again soon.

02/12 1545: "This item does not ship to Christchurch, New Zealand. Please check other sellers who may ship internationally."

Mine is fine as long as i am not to close to the access point, i can be sitting right next to the router and it won't get internet, move away and it will.

It seems that it's no longer sold by Amazon.com... I had it in my cart all ready to buy tonight, but it's been moved to saved for later and says it's "no longer available from the seller you selected". All the other sellers are way more expensive, and don't ship to NZ. Does anyone know why they would do this? I'm absolutely gutted :(

Because they are out of the promotional stock from HP.

Also, I have no issues with the wifi on mine using it about a meter away from a unifi long range accesspoint which is set to high power so im not sure why others would see it failing when close to the wifi.

What does this mean? Do you think they'll get more in stock? Or are they just not going to stock it anymore.

Probably will not be the same price. That was an incredible deal IMO and none of the other sellers are even close to it.

Hmmm. May have to YouShop one from the online US Microsoft Store, assuming they take NZ credit cards.

They would have a set number of devices they were getting from HP (looks like 2 batches).
The last time they ran out however it is "temporarily out of stock" and were still taking orders.

Even HP is out of stock going by their website, its getting to that time of year and this device would be great for presents, I can totally understand why its out of stock at that price.

So I guess next time buy it when you see it and don't sit as you run the risk of not getting it.
