I guess it depends. My item was something that's unlikely to be in store being Dolby Atmos speakers. I'm happy :-}

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I wonder if the free items are already in their Australian or Auckland warehouses? (Assumption of an Auckland warehouse from the printed shipping label saying Amazon Warehouse Auckland)

my items shipped through us based amazon facilities looking through the tracking details

As above, it does not look like it is on as a blanket 'over $75 sold and shipped by Amazon' but is still available on certain products. So lucky dip?

Just bought a headset and monitor stand. Headset had the option of free shipping but not the stand. Chatted with Amazon rep and they asked me to place the order and provide them the number which they then removed the shipping cost. Monitor stand was 40USD and shipping was $40 as well so great deal.

It seems some items have really fast shipping too, I just bought a 1TB SSD last week Tuesday, it shipped out Friday and I have it this morning!

Was shipped with DHL. It's crazy.

I've previously purchased 3 of these for my htpc and might just add another. Can confirm that drives are removable, haven't had any issues running them as internal drives.

I purchased a 4TB Seagate portable yesterday with free delivery scheduled for Monday (got the SMS from DHL).

NZ$139 from Amazon with free shipping. NZ$239 from JB Hifi for the exact same model, NZ$219 at PB Tech.

Ive seen it come and go on things I have been keeping an eye on, but even the paid shipping on that HDD is a bargain compared to the "sales" from PB etc.
