are you actually getting 80mhz out of it though? 108 is in DFS and for some reason i cant even get DFS channels to come up. i went as far as to stick it on russia to take out DFS all together but it still did not want to play nice.
my fritzbox will do 108 perfectly fine.

There is a setting in the menus around avoiding or prefer not to use DFS...

the problem is, all the non DFS channels are 20mhz for the most part, the ones that are bigger dont seem to be listed at all.

Just checked at home via the local interface and both are saying 80MHz, and my local LAN Speed Test on the previous page suggests they are on 80MHz as well as i got a measured rate of about 287mbps (actual throughput) and my Wi-Fi card is only rated to 433mbps so it cant possibly be anything but the 80MHz channel
So the story gets all the more confusing, i went out a bought a nice AC card, gotta confirm the fault from multiple devices after-all and ild prefer not to be borrowing other AC devices from around the house every time i go to make a change.
While phone was fine with AC on upper channels on the fritz, it does not like the E400 on higher channels at all.
I am currently running a bunch of tests, the below iperfs are from the Wireless interface, direct to another instance running on my Ethernet. Access points are sitting on a gbit unmanaged switch between my computer and themselves as to reduce as many issues as possible.
Testing range is about 1~2 meters, through me and my chair. Im using a A6210 Wireless card, Dualband high gain rated for "AC1300"
Fritzbox 300mbit sync, Wireless N 5ghz 40Mhz Channel 108~112
E400 80Mhz AC 867Mbit sync Channel 132~144

Clearly im looking at device fault here. Glad to know.
im in the process of a backup image and restore process on my phone to test it there, i suspect the chipset within the device is much like the apple ones with odd quriks in certain channels.
But since CM13 seems to give my device a different mac address, i suspect there could be other odd things around.

IN the webui (I'm not using the "cloud features") under "Wireless Clients" all devices are showing up as bgn, I'd expected my S5 to show up with AC as well.
Anyone else seeing this?
Found the problem as soon as I changed the channel width away from 80Hz (to 40mz) my phone connected with AC

Has anyone tried to roof mount their APs yet? I just spent 30 minutes getting it all lined up. Not fun.

You can tell from my previous comment that I've already proved that theory to be incorrect, right?
I put the bit of metal in the ceiling and screwed the plastic AP bracket to that. I don't like those hollow plastic anchors, I wouldn't use them. If the AP hadn't come with the 'ceiling tile only' metal bit, I would have put a wooden backer in the ceiling and screwed to that. That's just me - I feel the need to overdo most everything I do. :-)
I've got one that just stays with an orange power light. never seems to actually connect to the network :(
Can't connect to 192.168.0.1 or the 169.254 address.
The second connects, but half our devices don't work and even 5ghz/ac I get 20mbit.
Time to attempt to raise a support case I guess...
