joker97: Click monday is a joke. There are sites that are so swamped you can't get anything!

That is an understatement. I can't find any sites that are working..... Toyworld - down, Toyco - down, Whitcoulls - down. Lost interest

See in the states, black friday gives you amazing deals on things you want.

All these 'click' promos are more just crappy end of line products with 20% off

Another dud - sites that I can get onto are no different to any other day of the week. Seems everyone is signing up to the Harvey Norman school of sales tactics. Different marketing, same ole stuff and prices.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

That was awful.

Did anyone buy anything?

Maybe the shoes were ok value though, nothing techy though.

PB tech's sale has some ok discounts across everything, and a few items that are a decent deal. Site is working.

just ordered a monitor for work that is now $50something less than acquire is, which is where work normally makes us order stuff from.

I noticed that many of the retailers that are on the click monday website, are those that do the regular pricing/sale rotation. So the prices don't seem much better than they would normally have the product for when they do their 'sale'. Perhaps the only difference is that all the stores are doing the sale rotation on the same day.

And, some apple event this friday too....

The one-day Apple shopping event is this Friday, 29 November. Browse the Apple Online Store now for great gift ideas. Then shop online on Friday, starting from 2:01 am NZDT, and get free shipping.

I don't really get it though -- apple offer free shipping anyway so what is the deal?

Read down below the images and it states:

"Shopping event prices are solely available on 29 November, 2013, from 2:01 a.m. to 30 November, 2013 1:59 a.m. NZST, are subject to change, and include GST. Promotional pricing cannot be combined with any other offers. Product specifications are subject to change. Sale prices are limited to stock on hand and while supplies last."

So it looks like there will be price reductions of some kind - my bet is they'll be fairly stingy, knowing Apple's hatred of discounting. That said, anything off is better than nothing - I'll just have to make a decision by Friday as whether to go with an iPad or some other Android equivalent as per this post (any advice welcome!).

You can often get better deals instore in on other deal websites, than apples own sale. You would think they would drop the price more on their less popular items. I mean the ipod touch wasn't updated, and is using a chip in it that is at l2 generations old, yet it isn't that much less than a new ipad mini.
