yep the prongy uhf aerial like the rest of the street. i checked coverage before buying and it said "very likely" which is its top indicator.

im going through digital auto tuning and nothing is coming.

its plugged from a pal into the hex cords in the wall. i didnt realise these were sat dish wires, there is 2, a black and a white one. there are no other cables for the uhf aerial or antenna sockets.

cant the cameras buggered on my phone.

id say they have only installed uhf upstairs and stupid satelitte downstairs. easiest way to tell will be to get another cable, pal to pal and plug it in the only Pal wall socket.

very annoying.

Hmm, is that really true sorry? I don't know much about this stuff but I can get Prime & Maori channel even though we only have a satellite dish (old Sky dish). We don't have a Sky subscription any more though. Old UHF antenna came down a few years ago during a storm and we just threw it out.

satellite and terrestial are different tv signals. i meant if you could get terrestial maori tv / prime.

there's your answer there.

get someone to install a proper UHF aerial to your TV. worth every buck.

Satellite does not do Full HD, terrestial gives Full HD (certain channels)

For people forever on the go and always finding themselves short of battery on their phone, there's a great boxing day deal on a portable charger from PB tech:
$21.85 for a 6600mAh portable charger with two charging ports, down from $75.90. Its the best $/mAh ratio portable charger I've seen. Bought one for myself from their Penrose branch today, still had plenty of stock.

Thanks for this. Saw this earlier today as well as I've been looking for a portable charger/bank as well. However, it's a bit of a stretch for PBTech to advertise it like that. They normally sell these for about $30 from what I recall. Also on TradeMe for $29: http://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/other/auction-825589919.htm

It looks similar to an apacer I got a while ago that would just shut down when I plugged a phone into it because it didnt have a proper current limit on it so when the phone tried to pull more than an amp it just freaked out and had a sad. Was a little note in the included book that it couldnt charge the note and PB were dicks about not wanting to let me return it.

Eek that doesn't sound too reassuring.. Haven't had any problems with my iPhone 5 though. What type of phone were you trying to charge?

A note 3 at the time.

USB charging spec is quite clear that the charger is supposed to limit the current so the device can pull the max that it can supply. These failed at that but returns are so hard there.
