Bought one for a friend who has tried a couple of wireless routers, but they would not cover his whole house. The network cabinet is at one side of the house and the opposite side gets very bad reception. This device worked wonders - no connection problem anymore. For the full price that would be a different story, but at this price it's a steal.

I was looking at using some Ubiquiti Toughswitches, but they don't do 802.3af so probably not the best choice.

I managed to get a TP-Link SG2424P at about 40% off retail price. It's overkill and has a fan, but great value for money. The Cambiums work like a charm with the switch's POE.

I am the Regional Sales Director for Cambium Networks. Your feedback on the sticker is well received and the mistake acknowledged by our manufacturer. They have stopped putting the sticker on the E400 a little while ago. In thd future we will provide notification in tbe box via a loose sheet or card.

@rwittert welcome to Geekzone! Thanks for acknowledging the sticker. If I could make one other suggestion it would be to either include a bit of cardboard for screw spacing (when wall mounting with wood screws) or including self tapping wood screws that work with the plastic base. I had to physically pry my one off the wall both damaging the wall and the backing of the AP in the process as I used the wood screws with the plastic base (hey, I am a geek, not a "screwing things into walls" expert!). Other than that really impressed with the performance, features and stability of my AP after a few teething issues.

Also, any chance of root access to the AP itself? ;)

My pair of e400 units have been ordered, and are on their way here.

I'd be interested to see the 40MHz channels enabled on 2.4GHz radio. It was discussed earlier in the thread and I see there is a suggestion for it on Cambium's ideas section

If you are able to pass the 40MHz channels suggestion as feedback from this thread too, that'd be awesome. (but also good to get thread participants to vote using the link above!)

Looking forward to having a play with these new toys next week.

@michaelmurfy any chance in sharing your config seems you've done piles of tweaking.

Maybe publish to github or similar so easy to upload/track changes/improvements/tweaks as time goes by?

I second this. Damaged my ceiling trying to remove mine after all the reboot issues. Seems that the supplied screws are totally inappropriate as the heads are large enough that they push the AP away from the bracket causing the tabs to engage permanently.

As mentioned those screws are meant for mounting with the keyholes not the bracket. I mounted my 3rd AP in the workshop and wasn't able to use the bracket because even countersunk wood screws stuck up too much. Ended up screwing into the plywood ceiling and mounting with the keyholes.
