I have a feeling this could be an error. Just got quoted free shipping on a table tennis table!!

The shipping costs more than the table usually.

Batman: How hard is it to remove the hdd from the enclosure?

2 mins work...i removed one of the 8TB drives to put in my unRAID server. Saved myself $150+ - and I had to pay shipping.

EDIT: So yeah - got another one - you can never have too much storage right?

I had the same thought. If you've been putting off buying anything bulky, now's probably a good time to pull the trigger.

Its not an archive one is it? I was disappointed when pulling my last 2 seagate 8tbs apart to find one of those. Made a mirror pair for my music collection to use them since that never sees much write action.

Serious question. Does that really matter in real life for your 'average' user ?

Get Echo Show.

https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Echo-Show-Alexa-Enabled-Black/dp/B01J24C0TI

OK, you'll need to use a third party for shipping to NZ like YouShop and this does defeat the free shipping options. And if you sign up for Prime you'll get it for a really cheap price.

Like the other Echo products, it works in NZ as longs as you leave the language set to British or American...

And it you use Amazon Photo (free with your Prime membership) you have an intelligent photo viewer.

We've got ours in the kitchen and use it to music (via Amazon), radio (via TunedIn), timers, etc.

Hmm even a PC case comes up free shipping. I put some stuff together to start a new build and the NZ$163 shipping was free.

I've been looking for an internal hard drive for a little while now (3-4tb).

There only seems to be a $10 difference between Amazon and nz prices.

Its super slow on writes. I wouldnt use it in a hardware raid where it will resync the whole lot on an unclean shutdown but they seem ok on the storage spaces mirror which is a bit smarter about what it does.

Sits on 120+ MB/Sec for a while filling them up, then plummets to 10 or so after a few mins copying onto them. As archive ones are no cheaper than normal ones now it would seem silly to choose one. I just got these 2 externals on a stupidly good deal a while back and only got around to schucking them a couple of weeks back since they were sitting around being an inbound backup for the old crashplan app.

Yeah, its externals where amazon seem to get the odd great deal on HDDs, I tried with a couple of ones and it wanted money to ship them so either its not everything or its changed. The savings were also quite minimal compared to just buying at PB compared to some stupidly good deals in the past.

I am slowly swapping out the now going dodgey 2TBs in my storage machine for larger ones, but will probably just stick to locally bought ones so I know what I am getting rather than externals off amazon.

Nothing else I have tried has offered free shipping, and infact things in my wishlist which would have shipped here in the past at stupid prices are now not able to be sent - makita brad nailer was one thing. Guess they have had hard words from the locals that sell it for 3x the price to stop sending them here.

Should I buy these exercise weights ....

Who can get a better shipping discount without incurring import fees?

This just has to be an error.
