eXDee: Got mine in store! Used it for the afternoon. Really quite a neat device and i was surprised by how much it can do!

But i'm thinking it doesn't fit me that well unfortunately. Perhaps its a reminder to build some more arm muscle!

Perhaps I'll throw it on trademe for the gannets to fight over. Seems people are diving on them at the $300+ price point :o

if it's just the fit though, you can go to a watch shop and ask to have the straps replaced since the LG G watch strap can be replaced with some generic watch strap.

Nah, the actual surface of it is fairly large. As i said, need to work out the arms and not just the legs! :P
I couldn't wear it for that long and it seems it throws the heart rate sensor off when theres a bad fit. 47BPM is not normal!

Maybe next generation...

The good thing is there is another Friday the 13th next month.

Guess I'll grab the paper early that Friday morning to see if there are deals to match this.

I've had my g watch R since December and it's fantastic. For the heart rate monitor I find that it's way more accurate if you flip the watch to the bottom of your wrist.

Mine arrived today (yay courierpost doing a a Saturday delivery).

It's MUCH better looking than my kickstarter pebble, it even got the wifes approval.  Be interesting to see if I can cope with the battery life compared to pebble which lasted a week on a single charge.

Notice a few on trademe at the moment.
Also notice 1 guy going nuts at someone for selling it for over the $130 they spent (the auction is a $1 res and already up to $200)

That was me. It wasn't a complaint, it was question as to whether the seller was genuine or not.

I'm one of those who missed out on the $130 dollar deal from Warehouse Stationery, and I wanted to check that the seller wasn't just taking advantage of the deal to make a buck.

I'd rather buy from someone who had genuinely bought it for themselves but couldn't make it work for whatever reason, than someone who was just trying to make a quick buck for themselves meaning that other, genuine, buyers miss out on the original deal. To me, that's a bit like scalping concert tickets, and I'd rather not support that sort of behaviour.

Mine hasn't shipped yet which is a bit worrying. Hopefully they didn't over subscribe the sales, I'd really like to have a play with it. Ive been reading about some cool 22mm metal bands from Amazon that make the watch that much nicer
