Just ordered a 16GB Nexus 7 with a very nice Devicewear case/stand for $276NZ all up inc delivery.  Best NZ price for the 16GB Nexus is $359.

 

A shame that the Amazon price jumps from US$175 for 16GB to $US239 for 32GB, but for a cheap tablet for my youngest the 16GB will do

The top right of every page has a link to Amazon Kindle - click on that and anything you buy on Amazon (not only Kindle, but ANYTHING) gives us a commission. Failing that, there's a link "Amazon Orders" on the footer of every page as well.

is there an app for tablets that can make reading pdf books more kindle like?

Google play books works pretty well now, I just upload the books I want to my google account then read them from it.

agggh that sounds brilliant. i cant read ebooks on my phone, my eyes strain and get intense headaches, so it corrects the light etc?

also possible to get a small external keyboard or is that better suited to the next model up?
