It doesn't look like it can be used as USB speaker. Also, it has no battery, needs to be plugged in - not really wireless.

Thats fine. be an ok kitchen or bathroom speaker. Just dont put it ontop of the microwave and expect bluetooth to work when someone is cooking.

Im wondering if it has proper NFC pairing or just what the cheapies do and stick a passive NFC tag in it with the bluetooth mac address. Proper pairing is great because it will typically power the speaker on and change to the bluetooth input. Whereas the passive one will make the phone try to pair even if the speaker hasnt even got any power which is a bit useless.

Its just passive NFC pairing. Speaker doesnt turn on when you put the phone near it, so the phone just errors out trying to pair unless its on.

Also it supports apt-x which was not listed on the site at all. A lot smaller than I thought it would be tho.

I bought one of the pioneer speakers.
Passive NFC.

Comes with a remote though, and has a 1 amp USB port for charging phones with.
Really good sounding for $77.
