That is not a bad price, I let my subs lapse but this may entice me back.

I checked that, it seems to be. So you can get Rugby via Sky, RWC via Spark Sport, or go the grey route with Kayo and Rugbypass, and make it difficult for local providers.

Plenty of choice it looks like, so no one should really be complaining

Same my sub expired a couple of months ago and I couldn't justify $20 a month. Suffered espn+ for a month, its cheap and once going streams well but a bit problematic to get connected.Yes has world cup and the Mitre10 cup which I enjoy more than the super15

I wouldn't think  what geekzoners get up to (the grey route) will make a hell of a lot of difference to the local suppliers. I have had a few conversations with nongeekzoners about smartdns services and vpns and they just get that glazed over look and carry on doing whats easiest and whats in front of them.

Good question, I want 1080p as a minimum.

I can easily notice the difference between 720p and 1080p.   The difference between 1080 and 4k is not really obvious (even on my 4k projector), so don't care so much about 4k.

High frame rate would be nice.

On the 2/4/2019 I sent the following email to rugbypass

Me:

Hi,

Is Rugbypass going to have live (as in Video) coverage of all the Rugby world cup games, or are you just going to provide blog style commentary and scores.

The response was

Rugbypass help:

Hi,

We are still in negotiations for RWC2019 broadcast rights so can’t yet confirm either way.

Rugbypass is 720p max and it looks pretty good still on a 65-in screen.  If you want better then Kayosports does 1080P, just signed up for a trial and it's looking very nice.

Currently have Rugbypass sub until October but have been having buffering issues over the last month (using DNS4Me) hence why I looked at alternatives.
