GV27:

Is this a 4K streaming option?

Doesn't appear to have 4k options for playback on the website, 1280x720 4mbit stream.

On the plus side, the pit lane camera, driver tracker, race data are all available to recorded events (I only checked Austria p3 and race), so even delayed I can play spark sport on one screen, and f1tv with extra data on the other.

Can use on 3 devices so I guess I could watch it on TV, and use my iPad Air, iPad Pro 12.9 and iPhone X for the three F1TV apps each with different stuff on?

I'm generally not into these extras, but might be handy

Short video on 2022 car changes, given the recent unveiling.

Watching FP1. Gave up watching every minute with the new format as it was a Hamilton/UK/Hamilton/UK fest

Mercedes has lots of upgrades

Red Bull look quite strong

Good that 140,000 in the stands, no masks

Why is it madness? Ive got no idea, see what happens

Benefits are an extra race, less practice time so more prospect of mixing the grid. Two qualifying sessions, so any good cars that are down the grid can recover in the Quali race, and due to accidents/mistakes/damage, some lower cars can start further up. The real risk is a top car being back in the grid due to an issue in the quali race, so maybe they go easy up front in that?

I found it quite entertaining. Nice to see Alonso and the McLarens well up. Perez and Sainz were perhaps the only victims of the new format.

Its a good indicator of race performance both in terms of pure speed, car stability and reliability and tyre wear.  Interesting that the Mediums where done for by 17 laps pretty much and that Max was being told to stay of the kerbs towards the end.  Great performance by Norris and Alonso (although not his weaving!), Russell caused his penalty.  Lewis' start was horrendous and Bottas failed to capitalise early on.  Generally came out how I expected... Still reserving judgement on the format for a few more goes to see how it pans out but wasn't put off by it.

I'll reserve judgement. Nice to have an extra few laps of racing. I like they can choose Sprint tyres and race tyres.

25 points to Hamilton, free wing change under red flag

Merc clearly has done something to their car, it ate up the Ferrari and looked faster than the RB

Another Hamilton incident where he goes on to win the race, another round of excuses to why it's not dirty when he does it, etc.

I honestly don't mind Hamilton, it's the nationalism and tedious backflipping from his fans I can't stand. This stuff was world-ending when Schumacher was racing, now it's just 'hard and fair' racing.

The weaving to prevent the following car gaining a solid slipstream was interesting.  You can do it I guess as it's not in the braking zone (Remember Max was really bad at that in his early days), but still interesting to see it so prevalent this weekend.

Having a practise after qualifying is weird.

Honestly did not like the complete absence of any care/concern towards Max after the race.

Just a bit about how emotional it was and how the team and fans are great etc.

Others have similar thoughts
