NZ struggle vs Aus, even though NZ's form is far better.? NZ has a low record against Australia as for many many years Australia was king. We have a strong team right now, we haven't been playing them frequently to see how our form is at a higher level than the recent teams we have played. On paper we should stack up very well based on the AUS B team. Wait for the five games to find out.

Aus have selected more form players than NZ have, as I said Aus not afraid to risk playing a young gun in Phillipe, where NZ have selected somewhat of an old guard team.

I think its pretty even with NZ not playing Allen, had they played him and Munro I think NZ are heading towards an unbeatable WC team. Big call, but if we can bat to 8 and drop the nuffy all rounders for batsmen, that is the solid choice.

Ive said this before, but the NZ anthem sounds so much more beautiful in Maori, why do we need two Anthems, given, just stand out and use the Maori translation song. I seemed to get a bit of agreement on that on BC twitter.

Yep. Its not like we should play a few new guys to see what happens. Too conservative is correct.

Yep next game we will be much stronger.

I think our guns coming through domestic is going to make us compeitive. Chuck Allen and Munro in there and I think NZ are 60/40 better.

Guptil has to hit form immediately from zero cricket.

OMG Guppy, I think ironically Allen might replace him next game. Why would you select a player with ZERO cricket in ages, because he is an old guard like Boult, Neesham sucked in the super smash and santner, well he is ok, but replaceable.

Munro has been playing well in the No4 slot in the BBL.

True, very true. But I see him as a free wheeler, but when it comes to pressure he seems to fold. He admitted he basically goes after every shot, perhaps if he was less pre emptive that would help, but IMO when the crunch happens, he caves. You can't play every shot as high risk high reward.

What is going on with the Blackcaps today. Next game they should select Allen and Conway opening and bring Munro to No4 after his quarantine.
