Bit disappointed in Ted. Ted is the ultimate fan, yet he went at James Vowles why did you hurt Sargeant when it wasnt his fault??? As Brundle and Chandok said, its a no brainer. Ted knows that, he must have been assimilated by the media (Borg) Resistance is futile.
Jaxson: Well Ferrari have let the wrong driver go.
And picked up the wrong Mercedes driver too (and Im certainly no Russel fanboi). I really dont understand why theyve let Carlos go.

Hamilton is looking more and more like a spent force in a car that is, for a third year, not all that good. Although Russell seems more capable of extracting whatever performance there is.
Yes, Sainz is in the prime of his career in the last 6-8 months it seems, Ferrari have made a mistake in retaining LeClerc over him. He seems very capable of extracting optimal performance out of the car across a wider range than does Charles, who needs everything just right to get close.
The continued falling off a cliff of Ricciardo is great news for Lawson I think. Tsunoda has been schooling the Australian so far this weekend. I hope they provide Yuki with a decent race strategy this time. Should Horner get the DCM at RBR, I'd think Dan will be shown the door immediately after as the power balance changes.
In any event, I can't see Ricciardo surviving beyond the summer break unless there is a dramatic up-swing in his performance. And, I don't think Tsunoda is of a mind to take his foot off Ricciardo's throat when he is fighting for his own career and especially after the team orders incident in Bahrain.
Not sure I want Lawson going into that Torro Rosso. It looks painfully rubbish.
Jvipers2: Ouch! Max DNF! Did he hit a kerb wrongly?
My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
Jvipers2: Ouch! Max DNF! Did he hit a kerb wrongly?
Post race interview Max said that the brake stuck on at the start, hence progressively getting hotter and then the fire.

Superb drive by Carlos. Surely someone like Mercedes will be knocking on his door. Though I'm not sure he should go there...they seem to be in a bit of reverse last few years.
Vasseur seems to be getting Ferrari humming along nicely too.
And once again Ricciardio essentially fails. Will he get to 10 races like De Vries did?
Just to note, Alonso just got a post-race penalty (drive through converted to 20sec penalty). Stewards decision & updated classification (Stroll and Yuki up a place, Alonso down to 8th). Stewards decision actually pretty well reasoned, and seems to be along the same lines as what the telemetry breakdowns people were posting immediately after the race seemed to show.

Same with Perez.

What's missing from the telemetry is the distance away Russell was at each point.
There was never any risk of contact and his car washed out on the dirty air which F1 cars generate by virtue of air being like pudding when it's pushed aside by an F1 car.
He also had plenty of visibility, there was no close-quarters or avoiding action here - it was just another case of GR bottling it in the dying laps of a race.
Effectively we now have a rule where drivers are accountable for the dirty air that comes off their car.

Pretty much. Also best not to arrange to take an exit at higher speed by sacrificing the entry. They referenced that he did brake, but it was very slight and not relevant, so its not brake testing as initially vocalised, it must therefore be off the gas testing or downshift testing... Seems more sanitising the sport
