Agree with all that. Errors is the key if we can rush them and force errors. Run the ball and offloads are great but also be unpredictable, so that causes them to protect more.

Yep, RL is a simple game, or at least it can be. a simple game of forceback and using intense defense to own the territory or to force errors in the opposition half.

My only concern is at times this year the offense that follows the forced errors has been quite one dimensional/Flat from us, relying on our forwards to barge over. Which giveb aFB is the best alpha Prop with ball playing skills and the other forwards know where Johnson wants them to run the line, its worth one or two tries, but once we get to the 3rd or 4th we should be trying to swing it side to side to catch them short on defense and other more elaborate back line offensive plays. But Im confident SJ will play the offense more dominantly, ball running himself as he is still the best ball runner in the team with his step and hole shot speed is still good. My main concern is TMM going left on offense, but I think last week will have done his head space a lot of confidence after his lengthy broken leg. Only 2.5 games back in. But he has some silky he hands so I feel he will be good.

Only a few forwards are reliable enough with the offload, its definitely a high risk move for errors. But that is how the Broncs play this year, so Im expecting to see some from them. as long as our line is ready for whatever occurs, our defense should defuse the offload and hopefully a few turn to errors.

Heat could be a factor, not sure what predicted temp for the game is, but our NSW Cup game last week was in 32deg in Sydney. Either way Im positive it wont be chilly like auckland and there wont be quarter time drinks. But it will be warm.

Shouldnt be much of a factor then....

On paper some very close match ups.. Warriors are slightly better on paper. But Broncos play a totally different game, very hard to defend. But Warriors will be going through every playrs video footage and thn the Broncs as a whole to see how the team plays holistically. Then come up with strategies to counter.

One thing is a certainty, it will loud and intense.

Bet365 has the Broncos at 1.27 and the Warriors at 3.85

I must confess to being a fair-weather fan, but I'll certainly be watching this one and shouting at the telly, and although my gambling is purely for entertainment (50 cents a pop usually) I might push the boat out and drop a fiver on The Wahs this time.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Yep, to be expected given they finished second with tied games win as Penrith, but not the immense for and against Panthers have which game them the MP.

But if a home top two team were outright, Warriors would be a lot more than $3.85 and Broncos only $1.27. It says to me the punters are fairly certain but they arent fully committed with Warriors being another top 4 team, deserve some respect.

This is pretty much the reality, but right across the pitch there are some very equal players, but I feel Warriors have more quality players. But very different game plans. Shut the big 3 in Broncos down and it should stop them scoring freak tries early and then just staying out in front not giving NZW a chance. If we can put them off playing how they want to and playing set for set, we have a strong chance to score early.

I set Sky to record it, cool. The game is labelled Broncos vs WAHS.

Very cool

The Storm did themselves no favours last night. Plenty of try scoring opportunities but kept throwing errant passes. Meany in particular had some shockers. Meanwhile the Pahs kept adding to the scoreboard.

Luai is an annoying playing but man, he's an excellent tackler.

Tonight:

Arthars, Staggs, Farnworth, Cobbo
Watene-Zelezniak, Berry, Pompey, Montoya.

If we can just be on par with Brisbane on the edges, we're a chance.

Haha, hes probably the #1 5/8th in the game. But they have depth, so didn't overly miss him.

What a pasting the Panthers gave them. Im cannot see anything but the Panthers winning a historical 3rd Prem in a row, equaling the 70s Eels team that owned that decade and much of the early 80s. Peter Sterling the OG magician.

The Broncos have been told they are the best and to stick to their hot potato footy. especially outside their own half. If the Warriors can stamp some early control on the "Chaos", then I can see us denting that self believe that they are invincible. Walsh cant tackle for sh1te. Whether acting as a turnstyle up field with broken field play or close to the line, hes an absolute pork chop on defense. He is a freak on offense. I just wonder how many years that will last until hes a washout. Definitely run at him if possible, just dont kick to him, limiting his chances of offensive plays.

If both teams played the same brand of footy then I think on paper the Warriors are as good or better than their match ups. But the Broncos are going to offload just when you expect the ref to call held and the Warriors are just off guard aiming up in the line. I say stick to the plan, Newc via Ponga got to the finals winning 11 in a row by playing expansive via Pongaa brilliant broken field player, as is Walsh.             Broncos v Warriors - Finals Week 3, 2023 - Match Centre | NRL.com

Should be a fast track Suncorp dry. Id be expecting excitement early.

*Kick to the corners, away from Walsh, play the player not the ball, be sure to have any lurking links covered.

*Shut Reynolds down, put pressure on his kick, lots of it, again play the player and just get him to the dirt fast.

*Have our top defenders like Niukore facing Hass, get him down early with no offloads possible.

Im sure Webby has been talking this stuff, but he will be asking our boys to play their own style, get physical early, put the pressure on, intensity, just wait for their error, which wont take long with the Broncs. Then put some moves on.

Win or lose Im pretty stoked with the team this year. One loss doesnt define a team, they were 6/6 and finished 16/8. The last game resting all the important players may have been good, with many holding niggles but a loss was inevitabl. I prefer to look at the 11/1 finish. Not a fluke, the team and club culture is so much more professional now. The performance of both first grade and 2nd grade finising in the top 4 says something about the depth.

Im really looking forward to next season with RTS and CHT coming back along with 5 or so players consistent enoguh to play first grade,

What a turn around. I think its not just Webby, peple have wanted this culture change for a long time but fans cant make the change, but they can celebrate it in home games.

That pasting of the Storm by Panthers no doubt should have the Panthers as favorites to win a 3rd consecutive Prem.,

Tough first half. Speed and offloads killing us + lack of conversions.

Id have thought SJ even with a little quad niggle would have taken over conversions given the importance of the game. 24 vs 16 sounds a lot better. They killin us with the offload gotta have 3rd man around the front to stop them, but we need to learn offensive offloads, especially with guys like Metcalf if he returns, hes just as damaging as Walsh given the right ball/space.

Unsure who to go for in the final. Kinda leaning towards Pahs due to saltiness lol.

Good season overall from our lads but just not good enough against the top two teams. Next year should be interesting.

Thats it, cant be dissapointed making preliminary. Provided they go well again next year, that has been the problem for the warriors,

Hard to defend 23 offloads, twenty in first half, then they started respecting the ball a bit more. Thats the thing, it comes of some days but throwing it around blindly will go the other way more often than not.

Warriors with RTS and hopefully in due course Leiataua in the centres, boy that young man is hard to stop close to line, RTS left foot step is a weapon.

Just need some speed, find a place for metcalf. I say wing. So we can get Walsh type plays.

Well done to Bronx, not classy but entertaining. Refs missing 5 foot forward pass cracked me up, fans saw it on replay and a big boooo came out. Didnt change much either way.

Warriors just need to take that notch up one level to be Minor Prem level. I can see it with the available players, just need something more on offens.

I cant see Broncs playing that crazy throw the ball around sometimses blind vs Penrith, it was surprising no respect vs us, cant see them getting awat with it vs Penrith.
