This Good friday match between the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs are expecting around 70,000. Should be a great battle

This is a cracker, Bulldogs havnt dropped a game yet this season sitting in 1st, Rabbitohs just ahead of Warriors in 6th place, but they still got some cracking players. Full stadium. I reckon its going to be an emotional match that might see some aggressive exchanges.

Ive changed the name of Thread to NRL - General Chat to be less Warriors focused and more inviting to all who follow the comp regardless of team.

Manly v Dragons game was a beauty, Dragons getting up, just. Unfortunately yesterdays packed house game at Accor Stadium in the Olympic Park was a bust with Doggies mauling the Bunnies, which has now popped the Warriors into 6th (for now). Always a big game at easter there as the Easter show is in the Olympic Park so if its not sold out already, which it was, usually some people try their luck. Hopefully next year is a closer one. Ciraldo was the coach I was gunning for as one of Clearys assistant coaches. But he just had no interest in NZ, with family I can understand, where Webby genuinely loves NZ and spent a fair bit of time here playing with the Warriors.

Storm got bounced by the flippers with the Dolphins looking way passed their form so far this year, a real shock loss for Melb who are only 1 win ahead of many on 3 wins including the Warriors.

Unfortunately for the Warriors the top 8 and 4 sides keep coming with the Broncos tonight at 7:30pm at Go Media Stadium Auckland. Luckily a home game as the Broncos have been pretty consistent so far this year with a 56pt differential, and in 3rd place overall. If Warriors turn up it could be a close one. Unfortunately yet again this year to add to RTS, DWZ, Ali Lieataua, we now lose CNK, Fisher-Harris (C) and Rocco Berry. Thats near our entire edge, our big name Prop and our FB, most of the big names. Conversely the Broncos look their star studded full strength. Warriors have to shut down Reynolds, defend Payne Hass and worry about Reece Walsh getting into broken field play and thats all at a minimum with plenty of other great players. There is no taking 20 minutes to turn up on this one. So Im not expecting much if honest, but hoping home ground and our halves may turn it on, now is the time Metcalf needs to return the faith the Warriors have kept in him being injured for so long. Id still prefer TMM at 7 and Metcalf at 6 with CHT playing off the bench.

Warriors via 50m field goal from Metcalf go into 3rd position at the moment.

So many good plays, too many to name. Epic game in clunky conditions in a flooded Auck.

Very happy with the Raiders win over the Titans in GC. 16-0 down and I thought it was going to be one of those games, then to come back and win it 20-30.

Last nights game Eels vs Tigers was a beauty, Moses showing why he is one of the best players in the NRL. 4 try assists in his first game back. Wouldn't want to be playing the eels anytime soon.

Yeh it looked a blowout like the Warriors vs Storm, except Titans only put 16 on which is plenty doable to claw back, once they got passed the Titans the Raiders defense just wasn't letting them back in. Quite the tail of two halves for the most part 16-0 turns to 20-30. 30 points is a lot to put on a team in a short period in the modern game.

I am waiting for our key points scorers to come back and the Warriors might start putting points on, defense is doing pretty good, but they need to put some big points on around round 10-12 when everyone should be back and fit. Hopefully they can do it with these teams lower on the table without the star winger and Fisher-Harris. Rocco Berry can score, Ali can score, Halasima is hard to stop scoring (gotta use him 5 metres out steaming onto it), the halves can score and create enough mayhem. But not underrating Newc, there is no bad team, treat with respect but dominate them physically and defend every point they put on the board.

Really was like groundhog day yesterday, Raiders down 28-10 at HT and come back and score 30 unanswerd points to win 40-28 was crazy.

Magic round this week, should be an awesome spectacle of Rugby League.

Totally thought Raiders were shot, that what you call a confidence booster, from any scoreboard pressure.

But annoys me just a tad as it pushes the Warriors to 4th from 3rd haha, but Raiders played an extra game so hopefully Warriors will win when needed, the whole bye system annoys me too, maybe Im just grumpy.

Christchurch, one of NZs most solid Domestic Rugby League provinces showing why they should have been ahead of Redcliffe as NZ's second team, crowd enthusiasm always, PNG I understand for many reasons.

Why does Qld get an entire round? Is SoO not enough? ;-p

Hopefully Cowboys lose the magic of this weeks comeback win.

Yes fantastic news for CNK, imo the best traditional FB in the game, yet we also have RTS and Tuapiki, not a bad set of FBs.

Seeing Metcalf run down, I want that Schiff guy, sign him. He needs some defensive skills but dang hes quick. Of course without a football they probably very similar speeds, but to stop and chase an intercept also gave Metcalf 5metres. He could be a little quicker than Luke....

That was an adrenaline rush, game was on the line to the last minute with out defense holding on with 3 players injured and sidelined.

Warriors 1st Equal on the Live Ladder commentary reckons, but Dogies have better For/Against

Quality of the footage was vast improvement last night. 4K being touted on Fox, wondering if the higher quality input meant we got  better compressed outcome on this side?

Warriors for and against is net zero - shows how bad their two losses were. The other two teams with two losses are at +64 and +90...

Tuaupiki was giving me heart attacks in the second half. Coming in off the last man a lot (guessing that was our strategy?); dropped catch leading to try; not wanting to give away an offside penalty which looked to have confused Capewell on the play that Metcalf saved. Finished strongly though.

  • Sam Healey had a great debut. Looking forward to seeing him more.
  • Leka did well to last the full 80. Looked a little bit gassed near the end but good experience for him.
  • Erin Clark 204 metres in 69 minutes. Love his playmaking skills.
  • Rocco Berry can't catch a break.
  • Nice to see Chanel trying different kicks on the last
