Can't believe they have this down to a run a ball. Did not think that was happening!

Its not THEY lol, its their 8th batsman with an average of 19 doing something impossible. Along with NZ dropping 6 catches.

Haha true. Can't believe NZ had this down to a run a ball. Was it 6 in the end? I lost count...

Yep haha, I fell asleep when it was like 10 an over for 25 overs and they had 2 wickets left, woke up and saw him smashing it.

I know its a freakish one off at the tail, but NZ need better plans for when this is a good batsman and it happens more regularly.

Ish Sodhi took 3 key wickets, Munro top scorer and was run out by Taylor. I think Id go Sodhi for MOTM. Neesham still not delivering the death bowling they want, same reason he was let go last time. Personally I dont care as his batting makes up for runs he leaks.

Lol you need to evaluate over time not a half hour

I get the feeling this is like rugby. We get results from low teams then we ar surprised when we fail.

Neesham is awesome. If you want to fire him fire Tim as well

Didnt realise a losing player can be MOTM, Im ok with that. Although he did go for 10 runs an over with the ball.

yeah I know, some sports choose from the winning team which is crap imo, cricket use to, so either way it was good to see him come back being hit for 10rpo to hitting 10rpo, adversity and he nearly got it, he should have seen it was down to 6rpo and picked his balls in the last 3 overs, he had us gone.

not looking forward to Ind touring, 5 ODIs and could be a 5-0 whitewash going by their Test teams bowling and batting vs Aus. They are lethal bowlers and clearly the best and some of the best batsmen in the world. I think it will be a similar team. BUT if we could win 2 it might keep us from falling placings. Its all dependant on the international schedule it will chop and change.

5 wickets for Indias spinner on Debut, he can rip it both ways and wrongin. he said his inspiration was Shane Warne, Shane helps a lot of wrist spinners, now every team has one, I think he has spoken to Sodhi, but id love to see NZ cricket pay for some actual consultation for Ish. Hes getting more accurate and our best wrist spinner ever so he deserves it, I guess its new to NZ as we are use to finger plodders like Vettori, who dont spin it but use pace and flight. Add pace and flight with being able to have it spin 3 ways is very hard to deal with no matter who you are.

Unless, of course, the sponsor decides he should be selected by (naturally home-team biased) public vote.  Like the way Doug Bracewell missed out on MOTM to David Warner when NZ beat AUS in the 2nd test at Hobart in 2011.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Nelson is looking good for SL 3rd ODI, saying bit of cloud so far, if so Id be bowling first as its a morning start 11am.

Poor Auck, days gone by when Eden Park and the Basin were pretty much where most cricket was played lol. To be honest I prefer the grassy wickets and pretty grounds. What will happen to Eden Park, nobody wants it, but historically so important.

lol due to having an dual passport maybe thats why i why i always thought it went to someone in winning team. some sports it definitely is though. this is the first time I can remember in cricket, maybe because I usually dont hang around to find out. but yeah, NZ in Aus winning still dont get MOTM, you would think David Warner had bought the decision with paper (the sand type lol)

Poor India, absolutely destroyed Australia in this test, but due to lowish light they called Tea early yesterday yet it never changed from 30 minutes prior to close of play. And now they have lost a session due to what would be called passing spit. Only in Aus. Never mind its nice seeing Aus humiliated by another team either way :-).

Id like to know the NZ stats like this.

complete days of play washed out in Australian Test cricket:
24 Sydney
9 Melbourne
8 Brisbane
2 Adelaide
1 Hobart
0 Perth

The missing number will help

Oh TD, :-). Assume its forever forever. Its since they have played tests at those locations. Take it with a grain of salt as some locations clearly get more tests. But it rains in summer in Sydney and Brisbane and is sunny all winter. Perth its indicative of the dry sunny weather there, I dont remember a day of rain in the year I lived there. And Melbourne had a whole test washed out in those 9 days.

They use to have rest days in Tests. Its incredibly frustrating, same situation as our first Test, they score 650 odd declared, aus out for 300 odd, and umps call BS bad light then today it rains all day. then you get tests that are over in 3-4 days often. Id love to see an additional day for lost time so some of these tests can be concluded.
