Yeah seems like some rollout issues.

The iOS apps aren't updated to recognise the Premium sub (lets you buy it, but then doesn't unlock content). Subscription page doesnt have upgrade option etc.

Will try tomorrow. No rush as I'm pretty sure old races won't be 4k so its just Australia onwards (and I'll be in Australia anyway).

Just had a look at the F1TV subscription page, rollout issues indeed. They are currently showing the same product descriptions for all three subscription tiers, live 4K content for the season for only $41.99.

I wonder if that would be enforceable for someone wishing to try their luck. I'd guess not and a refund would be offered, or the ability to pay the correct amount for the full lights and whistles service.

EDIT: Enjoy your time in Melbourne, arnies, hope you witness a great race! Don't be shy to share some photos of the experience with the GZ team if you see anything particularly interesting.

So are they removing multiple 1080p concurrent streams/devices from pro, if so that garbo.

So a downgrade for F1 TV Pro which allowed multiple devices last year. I'm glad I renewed rather than buying new this year. I had been looking for another 15% discount but am happy to pay the "extra" $15 to keep multiple device access, although this more removes the need to sign in to different TVs, residences etc.

I wonder if this will break F1 MultiViewer? Seems like F1 wants you to use its alternative.

Thanks for that, yeah, the page wasn't rendering the crosses or ticks when I was over there earlier, makes sense now.

Are you hoping you'll get to keep this functionality as renewed before they changed the content?

Before Survive to Drive and F1 2025 kicks off, I wanted to mention I read this book over the break:

It was a really interesting trip down memory lane, part autobiography and part discussion of F1 car design.
To some degree was kinda sad to see how many developments were eventually ruled out by the governing bodies, ultimately severely limiting innovation.

Likewise the move to try and align with road cars, hybrid motors, lack of refuelling, significantly increased size and weight, one tyre manufacturer etc all limiting individualism and 'spice' in the racing.

Reminded me of this:

The auto renewal, that hadn't really occurred to me would occur, didn't go through because I had changed credit cards. I used the link in the email telling me this and still have access to six devices despite being on the $99 subscription.

I tried to upgrade to Premium, but the checkout gave me this error:

Customer support then asked me to subscribe to a new sub, and they'd cancel the old one. So I did that and I have Premium now.

However none of testing is showing in 4K, and the one session that did last week (Day 1 Session 1) gives an immediate Playback Error.. so not great so far.

Assume they’re refunding the earlier subscription?

ie not purchasing two different tier level ones this season.

Yes it appears so from the reply to my email I got from them this morning.  Its pro-rata'd for the cancellation of the Pro service but it doesn't give any insight whether the new sub is also pro-rata'd by the amount of races completed.  I would suggest that if you are going to upgrade, doing so now will possibly be the cheapest if they do not pro-rata the ultimate tier by races complete.

I'm also unable to upgrade - tells me $0 but then I cannot click the upgrade button.
