TeaLeaf:
Southee saves it, Munro motm. Close, well done India.
Surely not
Id have chosen Mitchell, 2 big wickets, great catch, quick fire 19 from 11, a top all round performance. Munro is the star batsman, all he did was get 25 runs more than what he should be doing every week

tdgeek: I done hate Munro ok)
I hate that he turns up only every couple of months. We can’t afford that
Munro struggling as well, similar time frames to Nicholls. But AVG is higher as his is SR obviously, but he has the talent to be AVG: 40 and SR:125+. But he needs to be the second phase our innings, come on in the final 15, not this stupid idea Stead still has from the Mccullum glory years of scoring 10+ RPO and losing all our wickets in the first 10. Let the players who can play ODI but have high technical skill see off the new ball and bat to 35 overs at an easy 5RPO then let the modern hitters at the soft ball for the final 15 or so and score 10 at worst, hopefully 14+ RPO.
Similar time frame as Nichols, Pak then Eng 2018 tour nz.

Munro is not the best batsman by a long wAy so why are put him up against the best bowlers and a new ball?
I just went to look at Ross Taylors stats since that Pak/Eng tour of NZ last year, WOW. Its littered with 3 centuries, one was 181, 3 90s, 4 other 50s and very few scores below 40. Now I can see where we have been getting our runs.
Guptils career on the other hand is littered with centuries and big ones at that like the 234.
Definitely our 2 best ODI batsmen with Williamson not far behind, being more of a test player hes adapting nicely as thats where the money is, white ball cricket.
I hope Guptill is over the injury and we get to see him play a game at home this year. Its not the same without him. When him and Ross Taylor retire, oh man NZ cricket, I can see a Fleming type era occuring. Or post early 90s when Hadlee, Crowe etc all the greats from the late 80s retired.
Yea Taylors eye I believe were done about 4 years ago. If someone can find out. I can produce the averages etc since his eyes got done. Officially it was done late 2016 and he joined the team in 2017 so I will find his first game back.
Poor Santner, wicket then pasted for 11 haha. I personally think he has to be used well before the 35 overs as hes not a hard player to slog by changing his length (charging).
Fergusson has been good and the least runs but hes looked out of control.. In the UAE he had Pak on the back foot with deadly bouncers then yorkers. One over he went from 3.68 to 4.5, not hard to do when you bowling wides, hes much much much better than that. hard to know whats causing the accuracy issue.
Taylor 109 first game back after surgery 5th Feb 2018
It wasn't crisis point yet, and Taylor still saw the red Kookaburra well enough in Hamilton to score 102 not out against Pakistan, and notch his 16th test century in December 2016. But he'd had enough, and surgery was booked to remove the pesky pterygium.
So, soon after Dec 2016. Update, tweeted Nov 30 2016 he was off to get it fixed
