Yeah thats a fair statement.

 

Going back to what I was saying about targetting pinch hitters early on, NZ needs to seperate its test players from its T20 players and a mix for the ODI. Munro is a perfect example. Its a shame none of them could go on with it in the final, but that cricket. We will hopefully learn from it from a selection perspective.

 

And please somebody select Guppie for IPL next season. Thats a lot of straight lofts for 6 we missing out on watching,

 

Selection can only go so far we didnt have the skills to match ENG bowling the other night. The four specialist batsmen did fine, and everyone else failed. We weren't good enough. That ENG played the fourth of their five games on pace tracks while the rest of us were on spin tracks doesn't help. We were a minor 25 or so behind, not much when we were outbowled and out batted.
