I haven't used Jetstar for quite sometime and the recent local travel on Jetstar gave me another reason not to use it again.
They have a baggage policy now, a strict one that carry on baggage should not be more than 7 KG. This includes All items.
i.e carry on main piece+ handbag or a laptop = 7Kg.
I know all other airlines have similar rule but its only for the main carryover bag, not for handbags etc.
and these guys are so pathetic that it felt like they dont have commonsense.
I was travelling with kids and I kept my daughters'(3.5 year old) trolley to around 3kg which she can easily carry and put some of her stuff in my bag. so my bag was 7.8 kg and daughters bag was 3.2.
They said that i cant have 7.9 so have to move that to my daughter or pay $60 and buy extra baggage. well that has been sorted quickly with a woolen cap and water bottle removal.
And after that they kept delaying the flight every 15 minutes for an hour, My question is how fair is it to force your policies so strictly but not deliver the service you agree to on time?
Do we have any government regulatory who keep an eye on these things?
