Fox is a vile propaganda machine that will ultimately be responsible for the destruction of American democracy and the decline and fall of the USA. I wouldn't be surprised if it was secretly supported by the Russians.

I work with someone who has realties in the USA and they consider Fox to a left wing propaganda machine, yep Fox is not right wing enough for them.

Maybe they should trade in their realties for realities   :-)

We all know America is full of extremist nutters. Fox News is one of the reasons for that. They start out being spoon-fed that soft porn crap and then move on to the harder stuff.

Here follows an example of a really left wing comment:

The Washington Post - Schiff’s compelling rebuttal to a spurious White House claim

Jan. 24, 2020

One reader's comment:

These republican senators need to be called out for what they are; “collaborators”; collaborators in efforts to dismantle democracy, collaborators in the denial of truth, collaborators in allowing foreign tampering in elections, collaborators in supporting a criminal administration, rogue president, rogue Senate majority leader, rogue AG. Collaborators, or if you prefer, "co-conspirators".

How many Germans, French, Polish are proud of their Nazi collaborating family members?

That’s where these un-American collaborators [are] going to land on the pages of history - profoundly SHAMEFUL "collaborators".

Families of senate republicans, time to look into changing your last names.

Can't speak for autocorrect but old age has completely subverted my keyboard skills. Everything I produce is riddled with typos and sometimes complete garble. So I use a (very) old version of Word for all but the shortest texts and let the spell checker point out my bib drools. I also proofread. Then I copy the text, run it through a filter called GetPlainText, and paste. Even then, I keep finding errors after I have posted.

It's that time again (only slightly off-topic) ...   😕

BBC News - Doomsday Clock nears apocalypse over climate and nuclear fears

breaking

The symbolic Doomsday Clock, which indicates how close our planet is to complete annihilation, is now only 100 seconds away from midnight.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS) said on Thursday that the change was made due to nuclear proliferation, failure to tackle climate change and "cyber-based disinformation".

The clock now stands at its closest to doomsday since it began ticking.

The idea began in 1947 to warn humanity of the dangers of nuclear war.

The last time I saw him back in 2007, my cousin's husband who's American was telling me NZ shoulda jumped in bed with Dubya and helped the USA invade Iraq. He's a nice enough man but I strongly disagree with his politics.

Most Americans are nice enough people but they can be unbelievably dumb and ignorant, thanks to their dumbed-down media.

Republican senators receive stark warning about voting against Trump

CBS This Morning (slightly right-wing news show)

Democrats are wrapping up their impeachment arguments on Friday, telling senators they can’t trust President Trump.

Nancy Cordes has learned that a Trump confidante reportedly told Republican senators that “a vote against the president and your head will be on a pike.” She breaks down the implications on Capitol Hill.

US Space Force mocked for unveiling camouflage uniforms

BBC News

The US Space Force has defended its newly unveiled camouflage uniforms after they were roundly mocked on social media.

The force, officially launched by US President Donald Trump last month, posted a picture of the uniform to its Twitter account.

The uniform in the picture has a woodland camouflage design with badges embroidered on the arm and chest.

Reacting to the uniform, many critics had the same question: "Camo in space?"

One Twitter user asked: "Have they never seen space before?"

Another illustrated the difference between space and camouflage, which is designed to help military personnel blend in with their surroundings.

BBC News - US Space Force logo looks like one from Star Trek

The newly unveiled logo for US President Donald Trump's Space Force appears to have boldly gone where Star Trek went before.

Twitter users noted that the emblem, revealed by the president, bears an uncanny likeness to the insignia from the cult sci-fi TV series.

Always the victim ...

The Washington Post - Trump says trial proceedings show how unfairly he’s been treated

today

Trump weighed in on the presentation by his lawyers Saturday, claiming it showed how unfairly he had been treated.

“Any fair minded person watching the Senate trial today would be able to see how unfairly I have been treated and that this is indeed the totally partisan Impeachment Hoax that EVERYBODY, including the Democrats, truly knows it is,” Trump tweeted. “This should never be allowed to happen again!”
