Of the four possible election outcome scenarios described here, #1 seems to be the least frightening. The last two don't bear thinking about.

They are very extreme opinions. And it doesn't mention anywhere what the military establishment would do.
Given how rabid we've seen Trump supporters can be though, don't discount anything - although I'm somewhat optimistic that a lot of them won't do anything given that they invaded the Capitol and did his dirty work for him, to basically end up with Trump washing his hands of them, walking away and leaving them to take the fall for him (legally).

The Author is very much "anti-trump" and is not backward in coming forward about it....
Presidents don't have huge amounts of power unless they can control the House and Senate,
The US system is very distributed. and TBH while the nuance of Foreign policy will change its direction will not,
Biden has pretty much continued with most of the stuff implemented in the 16-20 period with regard to Trade

This would be a bit of an upset if Biden did win Florida, as there's a chance it could happen now.

An interesting look at the different types of representatives in the House - who I believe will also be up for re-election in November.

don't the democrats know that all the court cases are just free publicity for Trump and ammunition for his campaign?
also if convicted it'd be interesting what happens if he tries to pardon himself if elected

It would be interesting to see what happens if he tries to pardon himself for a state crime.

I don't think that's an option but he could lean on some friendly state appointees to try and do it for him.
I thought the President could only overturn federal cases, not cases bought by an individual state.
After a little research it seems the issue of whether a President can overturn a state conviction is a pretty murky, even worse if they are overturning a conviction against themselves. It would probably end up at the SC.
