gzt: Bennett on tv this morning was more or less hinting at extramarital type behavior. It seems they have hinted he is mentally unstable and hinting at philandering which is a fairly heavy character attack and unusual these days in politics. There is obviously a lot at stake. The level of quid pro quo that might be required to keep Bridges in power is starting to worry me.

This is National trying to bring in more of the US style of politics and campaigning. In the past here no one really cared about the private lives of politicians. They are borrowing language from the Trump style of republicans in their twitter feeds more and more as well.
