It doesn't matter who put the tax law in places. What matters is what people can do when they realise what those laws allow people to get away with.

Trump fighting to not show his tax return forms for years simply show rich people know they are not contributing to society and don't want this exposed.

All this noise is good to expose. As the Washington Post says "Democracy dies in darkness".

Your posts, on the other hand, are always trying to lay blame and sowing doubt - never actually giving a solution.

The 'system', with all its faults and injustices, is what people have to work with, and it can be changed. Just look at East Germany. It was much more controlling and oppressive than what currently exists in the USA. It was all-powerful, until people decided they were tired of it.

The same thing can happen anywhere. What stops it happening are messages of despair saying all options are equally bad and nothing can improve them. The election of Joe Biden is a real step in the right direction. The election of Donald Trump is a descent into hell. Anyone who can't see that difference is working to destroy whatever freedom and justice still exists.

How can repeating a candidates own words and actions be considered a "message of despair"?

After comparing, I can't see any substantial differences between the 2 parties, for any, of the top 5 policies I care about, and I'm not destroying freedom or justice

You are allowed to pressure politicians to give you things, in order to get your vote - that is the way things are meant to work, and if you don't do it that way, you end up with a country like America right now.

if you don't follow the tax laws you are stupid, otherwise you are making stuff up, and you're sending extra cash to Uncle Sam

Of course its legal, to keep as much of your own cash as possible

Anyone who pays more than is legally owed, is an idiot, but the US Treasury will happily accept extra cheques from suckers

So was Adolf Hitler.

Luckily Trump is no Hitler and has no idea how to run a dictatorship. First thing is demand emergency powers to deal with Covid19. Then demand further emergency powers to deal with the rioting. At that point the country has passed the point of no return.

So at least in this case it's good that he's so incompetent.
