It's no wonder it got punched - it's not ugly enough.
Trump crowned? No faux King way!
Unrelated but kind of related - did nathan have his profile deactivated? I was just reading one of the (many) messages he sent me and saw his profile was listed as removed.

BBC News - Donald Trump plans social media comeback ...
breaking
Former US President Donald Trump will soon return to social media "with his own platform", his adviser has said.
"I do think that we're going to see President Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months," Jason Miller told Fox News.
He said the platform "will be the hottest ticket in social media" and would "completely redefine the game". ...
"This new platform is going to be big," he added, predicting that Mr Trump would draw "tens of millions of people".
Oh, joy! 😕
It's like a third wave of COVID, without a vaccine.

This will be interesting to see. Apparently there have been talks with various companies, so does this mean they're looking at an off-the-shelf solution rather than creating something from scratch?
Does he really want a full social media platform? I would have thought a simple blog would have sufficed, where he can pontificate and no one can talk back?
Will it all be centred around him or will other people be able to use it for their own purposes?
Lots of questions...
It could also be that Trump is just stirring the pot, knowing that everyone will jump on it - media, press, supporters, donators, haters etc etc - while he giggles in the background. To paraphrase Mel Brooks, 'It's good to be (the mad) king!"

Remember Sidney Powell? This is the loopy lawyer who was too far out even for Trump's people, though Trump himself wanted to give her an official position. She was the one firing off election fraud claims like a republican with a machine gun. One of her targets, Dominion Voting Systems, got fed up and filed a massive civil lawsuit against her for defamation. This in the country where eye-watering financial judgements are more likely than not.
Like all bullies, Powell did not expect any pushback and she caved as soon as someone stood up to her. In a panic, she has now mounted a hilarious defence that amounts to her insisting that no reasonable person would have ever believed a word she was saying, so her statements cannot be considered defamatory. In other words, she is saying she is full of shit and any normal person should be able to see that. If that's not ROFL stuff, I don't know what is.

The US has fallen to a new low in a global ranking of political rights and civil liberties, a drop fueled by unequal treatment of minority groups, damaging influence of money in politics, and increased polarization, according to a new report by Freedom House, a democracy watchdog group.
The US earned 83 out of 100 possible points this year in Freedom House’s annual rankings of freedoms around the world, an 11-point drop from its ranking of 94 a decade ago. The US’s new ranking places it on par with countries like Panama, Romania and Croatia and behind countries such as Argentina and Mongolia. It lagged far behind countries like the United Kingdom (93), Chile (93), Costa Rica (91) and Slovakia (90).
Not entirely Trump's doing, but he gave them a big push.

TUCKER CARLSON ACCUSES BIDEN OF FAKING MENTAL SHARPNESS FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Calling it a “scandal bigger than Watergate,” the Fox News host Tucker Carlson accused President Biden of “thoroughly faking mental sharpness” for more than an hour during his press conference on Thursday.
“Doing everything he could to give the appearance of mental acuity, he answered questions in detail, stayed on point, and uttered suspiciously complete sentences,” Carlson alleged. “I’ve seen some shameless stunts in my time, but this one takes the cake.”
Carlson said that Biden’s “desperate charade” extended to “accomplishing concrete things to make himself seem competent.”
“When he said he'd would double the number of vaccinations in his first hundred days, my jaw dropped,” he said. “President Trump would never have tried to pull something like that.”

Dear Lord. He crashed a wedding at Mar-a-Lago and instead of talking about the couple, he complained about China, Iran, sanctions, stolen elections. So from happy wedding to a political rally. What a douche.
But hey, who would book a wedding a Mar-a-Lago anyway?
