Have to say that here, Kevin McCarthy does kinda look like a pouty, sulky child. I think Joe was the winner on the night - he owned the Republicans.

A possible contender for Joe for next year. I recall her during the 2020 primaries (in animated form on Our Cartoon President) with the line: "I'm Marianne Williamson, and I wanna be the first quack president of the United States, baby!" 😆

That's a Murdoch paper, you may as well be quoting a Fox News story.

We don't call it News Corpse for nothing -  it's where the truth goes to die.

No suprises here, Biden is going to run again. Will it be a rematch of 2020 though?

I don't know if 'run' is the appropriate term to use for the US political gerontocracy, perhaps 'hobble' or, by then, 'zimmer-frame' would be a more suitable term for a Biden vs. Trump race.

The big question is not will he be elected again but will he make it to polling day.

This must be seriously depressing if you are an American.

Maybe he has a plan.

The polls suggest he would beat Trump so he could get elected and a few months or a year in resign due to ill health and bingo! Karmala Harris is the first woman President and black to boot.

That would seriously p**s off any Republican.

Also from Politico: the weird candidate will lose next year (I read it as Trump, but you can make your own assessments 😀): https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/04/26/biden-trump-2024-election-00093947

While this guy has said he won't run against Joe in 2024, I see him as potentially being a really good president one day in the future (IMO). The mere fact that he - as a Democrat - went on Fox News and was able to back up everything he said speaks volumes about what kind of a leader he would be.

Biden's Dept of Energy on track to match investment from Ford and SK-On with US$9.2 billion loan for battery plants in Kentucky and Tennessee. A Ford plant in Tennessee plans to build 500,000 electric pickup trucks a year.

Remarkably non-partisan. Both states had massive Trump majorities in 2020.

https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/13/politics/obama-biden-reelection-what-matters/index.html >> Biden better pull his finger out and get started with his re-election campaign.
