Hopefully (1) and (2) both fail, much like his bs "election fraud" court cases, which also failed. All 60+ of them.

I guess it's important to remember that Trump has been dodging accountability by doing exactly this sort of thing (delay, etc) for years, so he's probably quite skilled at it by now. Difference being before he was president he was just a several-times bankrupted businessman who had some reality TV show. Now he has his MAGA faithful "army" behind him (as per point 2).

A number of articles covering Trump's comments on Israel pulling out of the Soleimani assassination at the last minute take his comments at face value. Big mistake as usual:

CBSNews: Trump falsely characterized Israel's role in his administration's hit on Iran's Soleimani, say former U.S. officials. "They were never on board with it,” said a former senior White House official, referring to the Israelis. “They always thought it was a dangerous and destabilizing idea.”

Tldr; Israel thought it was a dumb idea from the beginning.

Trump loses again. His efforts to prevent attempts to ban him from election in Colorado shot down by judge.  Yay 14th amendment!

Shucks, I'd forgotten that Trump assassinated Soleimani. The Iranians swore revenge would come at a time that suited them: I wonder if it's occurred to them that there might not be a better time than now, when a carefully anonymized hit would likely be blamed on Dems and cause chaos in the US.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

Short answer: He may get away with this one, but I expect Trump to run afoul of a gag order soon anyhow.

Long answer:

Judge Engoron is acting like the adult in the room. His gag order is very narrow, meaning Trump can still attack a lot of people.

The judge didn't exclude explicitly include himself in the gag order; He barred the mob boss from making statements targeting prosecutors, possible witnesses and court staff.

It could be argued that Judge Engoron is "court staff". However the gag order followed on the heals of Trump recirculating a disparaging social media post about Engoron’s principal law clerk, Allison Greenfield.

So it's a hint that Engoron is allowing himself to be attacked by Trump, as long as it doesn't incite violence.

And yeah, he's willing to go to jail to make a point that his armed followers should be feared and he's America's dictator, and above the law.

He said "They're trying to stop my first amendment rights [to freedom of speech]. Lucky for us there are other amendments that protect my first amendment right."

He's not talking about the 23rd amendment, which allows the residents of the District of Columbia to vote in presidential elections. He's implying a violent response from his supporters: the second amendment right "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

He previously said “I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump—I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough—until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad,”

Prosecutors have interviewed Australian Billionaire Anthony Pratt in the case in which Mr. Trump is charged with taking classified documents with him from the White House when he left office and obstructing efforts to retrieve them.

Mr. Pratt is listed as a potential witness who could testify against Mr. Trump at a trial next year.

In his interviews with prosecutors, Mr. Pratt recounted how Mr. Trump once revealed to him sensitive information about American nuclear submarines

Mr. Trump, the current front-runner for the Republican nomination, had almost no relationship with Mr. Pratt before the 2016 election. But after, Mr. Pratt used his money and flattery to get on Mr. Trump’s radar: He lavished praise on him in public appearances, bought newspaper ads that hyped Mr. Trump as a job creator and became a member of Mar-a-Lago.

Donald Trump Spills Secrets

60 Minutes Australia uncovers tape recordings of Australian Billionaire Anthony Pratt sharing the classified information former president Donald Trump told him.

This is hilarious, now the orange buffoon says Powell "never was" his lawyer, despite him categorically saying she was, in November 2020. Uh-huh 🙄 just like I bet he would say Rudy "never was" his lawyer...or Eastman...or Jenna Ellis...or Cheeseborough (sp?)...who's next?

How about: Jared Kushner "never was" my son-in-law?? Please 😄

From the article: "Powell also asserted "attorney-client" privilege during a May 2022 deposition when asked by House counsel to explain how she knew President Trump."

I wonder how this is going to work. Trump says she was not his lawyer. So he will have no problem with her presenting evidence, I guess.

Business Insider: Former Trump Org exec testified he accounted for multi-million dollar mansions not yet built when valuing a company at the request of Eric Trump

Jeffrey McConney, a former Trump Organization controller, testified at Trump's fraud trial.

He said Eric Trump directed him to account for unbuilt mansions to inflate the value of a property.

McConney detailed other methods he used to make Trump properties appear more valuable.
...
Jeffrey McConney, who took the stand Friday on the fifth day of former President Donald Trump's New York fraud trial, told the courtroom some of the properties he misrepresented were the same ones ruled fraudulent by state Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron in September, according to CNN.

"You have treated, for the purposes of this valuation, a profit of $23 million per home as if it were realized immediately?" Amer asked, per ABC News.

"Correct," McConney said on the stand.

McConney, questioned by the NY Attorney General's special counsel Andrew Amer, testified that when valuing Trump's Seven Springs development in Westchester County, New York, in 2011, seven mansions not yet built at the property were added to the calculations. McConney said he did this after a phone conversation with Eric Trump, who now serves as Executive Vice President for the Trump Organization.

Donald Trump, maybe: "I am not responsible for this. This is all Eric Trump's doing. I did not authorise this. Also, I barely know this guy. Everyone knows he's a no good, lazy bum and I only hire the best people."

Crocodile tears because she was caught much?

Admittedly Ellis wasn't quite in the same league as the chest-beating "awake the Kraken" Powell was, but she was still quite involved in the bs election fraud suit.

Bets on how long until Rudy flips? It's not like he's rolling in endless money to fight his own court case that he will most certainly lose...
