With the countdown to the big day well and truly on, how ling do we think it'll be before civil war breaks out in at least two or three states in the US?

And do we think Orange Man will stoke the flames again?

In my opinion, civil war needs the same thing as the fire triangle
  • fuel, like human stupidity and gullibility
  • oxygen, like Trump's lies and Musk's "X"
  • and heat
It's the "heat" portion that's unpredictable.

Luckily in the USA, I think we have a low heat than a spark.

Trump's attempted overthrow in 2016 was very, very close to starting a civil war, they failed.

Saying that, who knows?

No one in 1914 would have conceived the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary in 1914 would set off a chain reaction of alliances and hostilities, leading to the outbreak of World War I.

Before 1914, a couple of scholars hinted at war, like Norman Angell and Sir Halford Mackinder, but their writings were more cautionary rather than predictive.

Point 1, I think there may be protests, but I wonder if those who were burned in January 6 will want to do it all over again?

Point 2, without doubt. He's already opening his stupid lying mouth, blabbering about election fraud before any results have even been released.

Jan6th
Mike Johnson has opportunity to take instructions directly from God as the new Moses and could do anything too.
GOP control the House and more than ever cowered by Trump, and energised by prospect of Power
to hell with propriety.

Create a constitutional crisis, and then Supreme Court steps in.
Supreme Court will of course do the right thing.  :-)

Could also go the other way, "We came so close on January 6 but weren't organised enough and didn't bring enough guns, this time we know what to do".

I would hope that given the number of participants in January 6 who found themselves in jail after the event - essentially chewed up and spat out by the orange buffoon after they didn't achieve what he wanted - the numbers might be lower this time. Having said that, I daresay that security etc around the Capitol will be quite tight too (if Harris wins).

Oh, I didn't mean in the Capitol, I meant state-level violence, break into police armories, maybe get a few MAGA military types to open the gates at military depots for them, get things sorted out like all right-thinking citizens should.

This is exactly what I was hinting at, when I said two or three states...
Not so much a Washington-based overthrow of the Govt, but a full-on survivalist-mentality armed aggression in thos places that are so totally brainwashed by Cheeto.

Whilst no one is certain what will happen, underestimating them would be a grave mistake.

As for 'people learnt their lesson in Jan 6' - Yes, they did learn their lesson to shoot people taking photos and wear better disguises.

Even more than that, don't livestream yourself, and later continually post highlights of how you were a star leading the charge.

Trump 'We will go after the enemy within'
What if that enemy is yourself?

Don't leave DNA samples in your spit, urine and poop either.

Biden, (to self): Well, according to the orange toad, I'm immune ...

(to Air Force general): Scramble the F-22s. Wait till he's over some deep water and splash it. Call Kamala when it's done and tell her I gave her a little treat.

My worst expectations have materialised - Trump will become the next president. It's going to be a tough future for everyone.

The American justice system has totally failed and failed to stop a convicted criminal. This signal is fatal for the entire world, directly or indirectly.

May God (Buddha, Allah or whoever) protect all the righteous. However, the EU and NATO has not been idle in recent months in preparing for this eventuality.
