Zelensky would have been better off if he just spoke in Russian then any confusion could be blamed on the interpreter.

 

Trump would have been absolutely swept off his feet hearing Russian, more so than Macron's French accent.

 


I'd imagine that would have terrified Trump - he probably would have thought his handler was in the room...

Wall Street is caught in a deepening decline that is sparing no risky asset. Not even those tied to President Donald Trump.

 

Publicly traded investments linked to the Trump empire - from the president’s majority stake in Trump Media & Technology Group to his and First Lady Melania Trump’s memecoins - have plunged in value since Inauguration Day, as part of a broader selloff in the more speculative corners of the markets.

Shares of Trump Media, the parent company of Truth Social, have fallen 36 percent. The $TRUMP memecoin, a cryptocurrency token that the president and his team launched just days before he was sworn in, has dropped 64 percent. And the $MELANIA memecoin has crashed from its high of more than $13. It’s now trading for less than $1.

 

“Trump was an amazing catalyst for all of the Trump names,” Tuttle Capital Management CEO Matthew Tuttle said. “But what happens is all this stuff becomes a bubble looking for a pin, and eventually, the bubble always finds the pin. These things can’t defy gravity forever.”

Before the Oval Office meeting, Zelenskyy met with a bipartisan group of senators and expressed thanks multiple times.

During the Oval Office conversation, Zelenskyy opened his remarks by saying, “Thank you so much, Mr. President,” and throughout the meeting, he reiterated his thanks to the U.S.

After the meeting ended, Zelenskyy posted on X, “Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.”

The USA's best hope is Trump plays golf 365 days, except in 2028, when it's a leap year,so 366 days.

If Trump expires and is succeeded by JD Vance, things will be worse; JD Vance still has half a brain.

Trump never does knows how to "read the room" and STFU.

It originated in Quebec in the 1950s and is now a popular snack food and symbol of Canadian culture.

"Adopt us as the 11th province": Canada is divided into 10 provinces and three territories.

Burgerfuel used to sometimes do a Vladimir Poutine as a special. They haven't done it since the invasion for obvious reasons, but I'm sad because it was legitimately awesome.

In English, stock investors are getting nervous, and mostly sticking with well-established, and financially strong stocks: "Blue-Chip Stocks."

These stocks are about 10% of the market.

The other 90% of stocks are being punished by Trump's unpredictability, insane economic theories, DOGE mass firings, bungling Middle East and Ukraine diplomacy, and use of executive orders.

For large indexes, a daily change (Close-to-Close)

- 2% Move – Significant but occurs occasionally.
- 3% Move – Very noteworthy, often making financial headlines.
- 5% Move – Rare and usually signals major economic, political, or financial turmoil.

The U.S. stock market has circuit breakers that pause trading if the S&P 500 drops significantly:

-7% and -13% (halts for 15 minutes)
-20% (trading stops for the day)

On the other hand, since Trump has taken office Putin is very happy.
  • the MOEX Russia Index has risen approximately 10.87%, reflecting a gain of 313 points.

  • the RTS Index surged by nearly 63%, while the MOEX Index increased by 40.3% during the same period.
The Russian rouble appreciated by 3.7% against the dollar, reaching its highest level since September 2024.

The MOEX Index surged by 5.8% on February 12 and an additional 5.9% on February 13, driven by gains in major corporations like Gazprom and Sberbank.

The Russian stock market has shown robust growth in early 2025.

Trump is the best Russian asset ever.
