I can't see how his age has anything to do with caring, or even doing the job. Infact age has a lot of benefits.

He will want to be a good President though, because if he isn't, his name will go down in history for the wrong reasons. It is really a poisoned chaise. I do wonder if he does have some regret now

Has anyone seen the new Apprentice? It is hosted by the previous California governor, who was previously probably the second most powerful man in the US. The US is weird.

No, the new "Celebrity Apprentice" is being hosted by a second class actor that turned into politician. And I don't think the California governor would be the second most powerful man in the USA. That would go to some secretaries, then some senators head of commissions and so on...

Just read that (in addition to what I previously posted) some staff are leaving the White House and since their replacements haven't showed up/been appointed they're just leaving a book with instructions on each desk.

You can hear the ringing phones at the White House not being answered come Monday morning...

Especially as I believe Trump is keeping his role as Executive Producer.

But Trump takes pleasure in seeing his 'perceived' competition fail, probably because he really has a huge inferiority complex.

I must admit my hope that Trump would settle into this role are fading. I was never his fan, in fact Election night I couldn't pick my jaw off the ground, but I believe people can surprise you in a good way, so far though, not a lot of good news.

I guess we will see what happens in the next 6 months.

He has defied the odds in every other way, it's not impossible for something good to come from it.

"Qualifications and Experience" are vastly overrated skills for leaders.  That's where Trump could have been a breath of fresh air - if he'd had some admirable leadership characteristics - rather than being a misanthropic petulant bully, with a history of taking pleasure in treating people poorly - including his employees.  Throw in to the mix the ability to alienate a good proportion of the population through misogyny, racism, and intolerance, and sure - he's got what it takes - for something - perhaps he'd be good owning casinos and hotels, dealing with organised crime etc.

Bullies just want to be liked - so I've been told.  I don't fancy his chances.  How he'll react to what I expect to be the lowest presidential approval ratings since Nixon will be interesting.

No, he'll pee on the bed and someone else will have to clean up the mess. (Hopefully not Pence).

I predicted Trump wouldn't make the nomination. Boy was I wrong. Since then I have given up making predictions. I feel like I am living in an alternate universe, the one where everything that could never happen in a normal, sane universe does happen. My hope now is that the complete, chaotic collapse of American society over the next six months or so will create such an enormous backlash to Tea Party politics and conservatism in general, that a new Obama-like figure will emerge along with a truly progressive Congress in both houses that heralds a new age of Enlightenment that brings prosperity and joy to all peoples everywhere, and that the name 'Trump' will only be spoken in hushed whispers as a curse or warning to misbehaving young children.

So far I've found only one up-side.

I never thought Alec Baldwin had any comedy skills until now.
