Pumpedd:

Trump to choose White House reporters President-elect Donald Trump tells Fox News he will play a role in selecting which journalists are allowed into the press briefing room in the West Wing.

There was also talk that they are considering kicking the press out of the White House entirely

The one upside for me is that a lot of the brainless fools who think that Trump would overturn his lifelong tendencies and someone give a crap about them are going to really, really suffer under his presidency. You know, your tea party sort who might yell out "Let them die" in response to people saying that poor people who can't afford their own healthcare should receive treatment (yes, this has happened), the kind who think that Trump can somehow just overturn everything about an increasingly globalised world to magically give them their low skilled jobs back and have them earn way more money than what low skilled people traditionally made for almost all of human history bar one generation, and the idiots who think that Black Lives Matter/anyone who dares to criticise the police are criminals.

This couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people.

Not to mention they don't want to pay any more for those goods made in the US - just somehow making them in America will cost the same as making them in lower cost places.

I didn't watch any of it, but apparently Trump in his inauguration speech is vowing to end "American Carnage" defined as urban crime.

Apart from the fact that crime has been falling, there's zero chance IMO that Trump will improve on that by tightening gun laws.

Always short on stating actual policy, WTF is he going to do?  Look across the border at why Canada has much lower violent crime/murder rates - or follow Duterte?

The one upside for me is the possibility that he's going to be the worst POTUS by such a yuge margin - which will deter Americans from ever again voting for such an awful man, and that his true awfulness is going to be seen quickly enough, so to upset populist nationalist movements globally.

The president supposedly appoints 630 or so positions. Trump has appointed 29. By obamas inauguration he had appointed 400+. And trump wants a couple of days off.

Anyhow I am not a pessimistic about Trump as some others are. People in America voted for what they thought would make them better off. Not what they thought would make America better off. Many are regretting it but when you have a campaign promise from trump to can a $900 per month Obama care payment which is almost as much as your mortgage, and you don't live in the most prosperous states then yeh it's very easy to see why he won.

I hope he does well, if he doesn't then that is not good for anyone. And I have a feeling a lot of the nonsense that comes out of his mouth is just that. Obama is by no means a saint. Would I prefer he had another term rather than trump? Well most people would choose some sort of certainty over the unknown.

The top tier is $553/month. The basic tier is $311 (source). If the family falls under a certain line the basic tier can go as low as $164/month - for the family.

First bill signed into law is to wave legal requirements so he can have his appointed Secretary of Defense nominated...

This guy is a joke already.

Meanwhile, VP Biden took train from home to White House and back every day when possible. See the difference?

Two of the 'Beast' limos in the parade.   Pretty obvious which one Trump is in - guess the other one is there in case of a mechanical breakdown of the one carrying POTUS?

I'd imagine that Putin is popping the champagne corks about now.
