That's a fallacious argument.  Raw video you've seen cannot "show otherwise".

I can't disprove the fake news you can't prove to begin with, because the fake news is fallacious.  At this point the whole conversation has devolved into nonsense. frown

No it hasn't.  You've claimed to have seen raw video that "disproves the existence of" something most people have seen, is real, and isn't disputed as being "fake" (example - the Billy Bush video)

You're arguing a logical fallacy - so if the conversation has devolved into nonsense it's from your end.

Still fake news.  I've seen raw video that shows otherwise.

Now that's fake news - I never said that!

(You've edited quote tags incorrectly)  I still gave you a +1 for the post though :-)

As I said in my last post, some of the things you are calling "fake news" are subjective based on the moral stance of the person making the claim. Many of Trump's statements about women, LGBT, disabled, migrants etc fall into this category - and many of us are judging him moral stance (and those who agree with it) accordingly to our own. You simply cant call that fake news because the media is simply reporting what he says. There is nothing 'fake' about it, you just don't like that many people are saying they believe his comments are unacceptable.

"Fake news" is when something is purported as fact than turns out to be false. For example, Sean Spicers "press conference" (or more accurately, his televised tantrum), is a great example of an attempt to create fake news. He got up and blatantly lied to the press in an attempt to have news written to his provably false narrative.

There are many other examples from throughout the campaign (and after) of things being reported as fact in the media that are demonstrably untrue, from both sides of politics - but far more fake news in Trump's favour.

This is incorrect, and you can't prove it's true.  You're just repeating fake news at this point, from what I've read on the subjects.

It's not media reporting - you just need to watch the raw video of what is he saying, there are dozens or more examples. It's indisputable.

Still fake news.  I've seen raw video that shows otherwise.

That's a fallacious argument.  Raw video you've seen cannot "show otherwise".

I'm not sure what anyone means by 'raw video'. Here's something created by Fox:

(Note the dates as they roll by)

Also note Trump's use of the phrase 'you gotta see this guy'. In addition, Trump later claimed that he could not have been mocking the reporter's appearance/disability because he had no idea what he looked like.

In fact Trump had met the reporter on multiple occasions.

My own conclusion is Trump was more than familiar with the appearance of the reporter and was undoubtedly referring to that.

Edit: corrected 'never met' to 'no idea what he looked like'.
Edit: first edit stripped the YouTube tag for some reason.

We need to start a thread based on whats happening post 20th. Thats what is important now.

News today, Trump wants defence partners (like NZ) to spend 2% of GDP on defence. We spend 1.1%. The person on the radio news that was sound bited (who is American as it happens) says, who cares. Not in a childish way, but basically who cares. Thats probably going to be a standard trend to the global reaction to him. Not serious, it's just more bluster.

I dont find it hypocritical at all to be so critical after the man has been disgusting to women, LBGT community and the disabled on world wide television.

This is incorrect, and you can't prove it's true.  You're just repeating fake news at this point, from what I've read on the subjects.

So this video of him mocking a disabled journalist didn't happen - or is that not Trump?

Or this is not Trump telling someone how he treats women?

If don't think this is disrespectful and "fake news" then I think you news sources are the ones being fake.

I really don't understand those who defend Trump, I just cannot understand why they defend someone who is such a horrible human being?

I believe its everybody's right to either defend him or ridicule him, but to call things he said and did during the campaign and even since elected as fake is trolling. My personal belief is that POTUS is an important role for the world and with it should come dignity, honesty and caring.

So its MY opinion that he is a creep and a horrible horrible man, but for others to say he isnt based on news they call fake, when it isnt fake is trolling.

It's either trolling, or they genuinely believe it's OK for someone to do things like sexually assault a women just because you're famous.

At least Trump has Rupert on his side. Fox seem to be about the only outlet that don't have the "alternative facts story as a headline on their website". In fact there is no story about this whatsoever on Fox - they have totally avoided it.

Normally I enjoy watching all those press conference from the last President and the press secretary. Now I just felt its like 4 years of dictatorship, my way or no way. Feel sorry for those White House press crops going to face them all the time.

I don't understand what you are saying.

From what I understand Obama primarily ruled by executive order, lacking the ability to pass laws via the house and the senate where the citizen's representatives vote on them.  Either Trump eschews executive orders and rules by house and senate voted bills, or does what Obama was already doing.

So Trump cannot be more of a dictator than Obama already was being?  What am I missing?

I'm not talking about any executive order. I just like watching press conference seeing how President Obama and his press secretary treats the white house press corps with respect. The feeling of 4 years dictionatorship is they seem to don't let media report actual facts, seem to be they have to follow his "accurate facts" or no way you cannot report those actual facts news. Even just the first day of the photo of comparing Obamas & Trumps inauguration and Sean Spicer come out & blast the media for inaccurate crowds numbers or maybe he include those protestors as their crowds as well..LOL Maybe photo angles do matters. I also saw lots of empty seats in those stands along the parade.

Maybe soon he will come out & say the ratings firm Nielsen showing tv viewers numbers just another fake ones and he has the biggest tv audiences with any president inauguration. I do wish he will do a better job but will see. Action speak louder than words. At this moment he pretty much just big talks.

Let me see... Number of executive orders by President:

  • Obama: 277
  • George W. Bush: 291
  • Bill Clinton: 364
  • George H Bush: 166
  • Ronald Reagan: 381
  • Jimmy Carter: 321

It seems to me there are other presidents who issued more orders than Obama. Your point is moot.
