Agree fully. The global response does allow an option to move in if thats decided at some point. The hope is that the economic suffocation, the low troop morale for attacking a country they have family in (which many seem to have not expected to happen) might cause Putin to be challenged. China is quiet, hoping it all blows over, they wont want the globe to avoid trading with China if they can avoid it. All finely balanced.  Then there is Taiwan, if UKR became a modern day precedent

How Chinese CCP Nationalists cheering on Russia clearing the way for Taiwan takeover and worse,
endangered Chinese students and business in Ukraine.

Seems China expected the swift elimination of Ukrainian leadership, Putin in control swiftly.
Students and citizens could just stay in place and wait for Russian security forces ?

Oh dear. During war, you make your bed and then you'll get forced to lie in it at gunpoint and have a very long sleep.

Ok its the Daily Mail , but that's not sounding good.
Seems the units deployed from Crimea and sea are of a different kind and even more brutal.

Fighting outside Europe's largest Nuclear plant.

GV27:

Yea, these sanctions are pretty next level. You're talking near total collapse of the Russian economy like in the late 1990s,

An important difference this time is that Russians have had thirty years to get used to a rest-of-the-world state of living. An entire generation has grown up never knowing what it was like to queue for hours for food and not have anything. The current situation is nothing like sanctioning the USSR, which barely had anything even without sanctions, it's now taking a close-to-western-European-standards country in the direction of being another North Korea.

Russia has bombed a Nuclear Power Plant ... fire 10X larger than Chernobyl according to some people

What? No way ... even if Putin's an evil bastard surely the battlefield commanders aren't that stupid.

I am watching the live feed. There is a fire from earlier, but don't think the whole plant is on fire. It is very large.

But there were BTR's and Tanks in there firing for a while and a ton of Russian infantry piling in.

Seems totally safe.
