Back tracking only for now. You can't just let people into the country without planning for them first. If we going to let in these poor refugees we have to make sure we have housing/welfare etc to support them first. A 6 month government has not had very much time to prepare and make changes yet. Give it time and then hopefully we can assist these poor people that are so desperate for our help.

I am very optimistic about this new government. They are doing a lot for this country where national failed. I am going to assume you are having a laugh here.

I think the only thing laughable here are your comments criticizing this new government. How about looking at some of the good they are doing, instead of focusing on just some of the current roadblocks. A transformed health system is something that takes lots of time, effort and planning. Things dont become efficient overnight. Leave it with labours body of experts for now, and lets review once they have has some time.

Don't forget to include the quiet moving of the guy who didn't tell JA about the sexual assaults at the Labour conference, quietly being given a new very cushy role at another Government owned entity, the same day JA went into labour (so much for transparency), the fact business confidence is in the toilet, and we are in for more strikes than we have had for 20+ years in NZ.

They had 9 years to prepare. 9 Years to come up with coherant plans to Govern.

Are you not concerned about Ministers charging for personal access during events? If National did this, there would be claims about corruption and Cronyism.

I can't see how any of the things you mention - if indeed they are actually being done - will in any way lift NZ from a low wage economy into a high wage economy. Wealth redistribution (a euphemism for legalised theft) creates no new money. It all looks rather like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic to me.

No, I am not picking on the PM because she had a baby. I am picking on Labour for trying to hide the fact they moved someone who was central to a very poor set of decisions and INCREDIBLY poor handling of the sexual assaults that occured at their youth programme, the same day she went into Labour. If you don't think that's an issue, no need to reply to anything else.

I don't think its right to be striving for a high wage economy. Far better to strive for an equal wage economy.

Perhaps if you actually *read* rather than going off on your little tangents filled with out of date cliches, you'd know the answer to your own question.

Ok genius. Then what is motivation for anyone to work harder? Why would anyone go to university, medical school, or an apprenticeship?

Just go work at your local fish and chip shop and hold out for the same wages as the Prime Minister...

Maybe you are assuming that everybody wants to go to university, medical school or get an apprenticeship? I tried that unfortunately did not succeed, just got left with a big pile of student debt.
