Oh, no. Who would have thought that two grifting groups, cryptobros and MAGA, would have problems paying for services?

Sounds like sculptor Alan Cotrill is about to get the full Donald Trump experience. I hope the raw materials didn’t cost too much.

Or better still, he paid for them personally out of his own pocket 😉

The NY Times - Senate Votes to Check Trump’s War Powers, Rebuking Him on Iran
June 23, 2026
The Senate on Tuesday adopted a resolution instructing President Trump to end the war in Iran or seek congressional authorization to continue it, delivering the most significant bipartisan rebuke yet of the conflict.
The resolution does not have the force of law and is therefore unlikely to compel an immediate change in policy. But the 50-to-48 vote - in which four Republicans joined Democrats in favor - marked a striking break by the GOP-led Congress with a president who has faced little resistance from his party on any topic, particularly matters of war and national security.
It came as Republicans in Congress have expressed skepticism and alarm about the cease-fire agreement Mr. Trump struck with the Iranians, after nearly five months of war.
The measure underscored GOP impatience about continuing to defer to the president, who has never sought approval from Congress for the war ...
The House passed a similar measure earlier this month.

The NY Times - Trump on the Shabby Condition of the Reflecting Pool: Not My Fault (unlocked link)
22 June 2026
President Trump knows one thing for sure about the sorry state of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool: It’s not his fault.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Mr. Trump said the enormous blooms of green algae and the peeling polyurethane had nothing to do with the rushed $16.4 million makeover he had ordered. ...
To hear Mr. Trump tell it, the renovation was going perfectly until vandals armed with knives and fertilizer set their sights on the century-old pool ...
Of the large strips of polyurethane spotted floating in the water, Mr. Trump said somebody had sliced the pool with “probably a box cutter or a knife of some kind.”
These vandals were invisible, and were therefore not detected by multiple cameras of the 24-hour surveillance system. 😟

The NY Times - Photos Behind Kennedy Center Tarps Show No Sign of Trump’s Name

Images circulated by an activist group reveal bare marble where President Trump’s name once resided.
The Kennedy Center previously told a federal judge it had been removed.

Donald deleted. ☺️

Never thought of things this way before: https://www.thebulwark.com/p/the-president-finds-his-happy-place-iran-reflecting-pool-rally-pennsylvania-dementia-hormuz-polling-midterms
Trump might think that the vast majority of Real Americans approve of him. He might think, when he heads out for one of those rallies, that that’s who’s showing up. He might think the polls really are cooked, that the vote totals really are rigged, that he’s sitting on the people-pleasing side of a whole bundle of—as he likes to say—“99–1” issues.
But if he does, he’s sleepwalking into a bruising wakeup call. The MAGA throng—that 22.6 percent—will be showing up at the polls in November. But that 48 percent of Americans, the group he tends to dismiss as polling phantasms or phony ballots or paid agitators, they’ll be showing up too.
Also - some interesting thoughts here as well (one way to deal with MAGA-ites):
