Earlier this week, after a federal judge barred the Kennedy Center from once again adding Trump’s name to it, Trump apparently ordered his handpicked Center trustees to close it down. ...

 

What’s going on here? By now we’ve become accustomed to Trump’s moves but we’re still confused about his motives.

 

Some blame Trump’s vanity. Others point to his flagrant narcissism. Or his insatiable need to glorify himself. Or his bottomless vindictiveness. 

 

It goes deeper. They’re all symptoms of a mentally disturbed man-child who cannot abide the humiliation of losing. ...

 

Like a 6-year-old who kicks over the card table when he’s losing a game, Trump would rather demolish the Kennedy Center than endure the public humiliation of having his name removed from it.

 

This is the dangerous world we’re all living in.

Trump is incompetent and easily played. I think saying Trump is playing checkers while Denmark played chess is wrong. Trump's only understands zero-sum games (one winner means one or more losers) But Denmark knows that a healthy game can have everyone win.

Denmark's public statements emphasize sovereignty and self‑determination. Translated: "The U.S. cannot do whatever it wants."

Denmark is containing Trump. They are channeling his desire for a Greenland deal into a framework that preserves Danish sovereignty, strengthens NATO’s Arctic posture, and prevents unilateral U.S. action.

Denmark is child‑proofing a willing Trump into an infant's freestanding play enclosures. Denmark gains stability, predictability, and keeping Trump inside the rules.

Denmark’s red line is territorial integrity and Greenland’s right to self‑determination. Denmark locks in explicit recognition. Lucky Trump doesn't read legally binding documents before signing.

NATO and Denmark are winners. . They cleverly reframed Trump’s push as a NATO‑beneficial Arctic security agreement, not a U.S. land grab. This keeps Europe unified and prevents Trump from bypassing allies.

Trump tantrum threatened tariffs, unilateral seizure, and "permanent control." Denmark converts that chaos into a formal, negotiated, legally bounded agreement.

And don't forget the money. Any U.S. military expansion means money flowing into Greenland’s infrastructure, ports, airfields, and jobs. Denmark wants that — but under Danish/Greenlandic oversight.

We saw how he endlessly whinged without hard evidence about the stolen presidential election after his 2020 loss to Biden.

 

Roll on six years and taking into account his cumulative cognitive decline, it will be ever more important that he be removed from office, before he retaliates in away not even Hollywood disaster film makers could think of.

The problem between his first term and this time (IMO) is he's surrounded himself with lackeys and yes-men.

 

In 2020 he actually admitted he lost (although not publicly) and after seeing the huge failure of January 6, packed a sulk and left office.

 

This time around, I can see all the lackeys around him endlessly singing "election fraud!" in his ear if Republicans lose anything in the midterms (which if polling is accurate, they definitely will) and he's far more likely to try anything within his reach so he doesn't have to cede power.

President Donald Trump often appears to be insane - not figuratively, but literally - and yet the mainstream media insists on sanewashing him.

 

"Sanewashing" is the practice of making irrational and psychologically unhealthy behavior appear lucid, even normal. 

 

In Trump's case, journalists seem quite timid about describing his obsession with putting his name on the Kennedy Center, building a White House ballroom and picking unprovoked fights with Canada, Denmark and Iran as indicative of poor mental health. 

 

By contrast, when President Joe Biden put in a stumbling and incoherent performance during his 2024 debate, a massive clamor arose for him to drop out of the race ... one that ultimately succeeded.

 

Why the double standard?

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Yep.

 

When he was sworn in on Jan 20 last year, he didn't even have his hand on the Bible, Melania was standing beside him holding the Bible for him as First Ladies do, looking a bit odd. No one bothered to ensure proper process was followed even if the event is essentially just procedural theatre.

 

I do wonder though if Trump is actually doing anything to protect and defend his family. He was prepared to throw Don Jr and / or Eric under the bus during the New York fraud trial in order to protect himself.

President Trump said on Sunday his planned 250-foot triumphal arch in Washington would be built to host “large numbers of drones,” snipers and ammunition, as the administration appeared prepared to justify another construction project by citing national security.

 

Mr. Trump said the arch would be “a top grade Military Complex / Triumphal Arch, to house, store, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones, plus Snipers, on both the roof and plaza areas, and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage.”

 

The proposal would appear to place an arsenal and military staging ground in the center of the nation’s capital.

 

“There will be no facility like this anywhere in the World,” Mr. Trump said in a social media post.

 

 

The Don is really losing it - he is a clear and present danger to us all.  đŸ˜Ÿ

I'm sure it does, but I'm more inclined to think the proposal itself is dementia talking. Like, even for America where it's not a real thing until it has a gun on it, that's just ... stupid. Like "what would a five year old say about this".
