I didn't know that.

Hard to know what's going on but some kind of circus for sure. To my mind it's also likely Trump did not really know what the National Security Council was at the time, or this is just a play to avoid taking responsibility. Either would be normal now.

The first article tells us that the Brits despise Trump.

The second article tells us that the Germans despise Trump.

In the case of the UK speaker, it's not a threat. He means it 100%. Now it's down to UK constitutional processes and the government to see if there is a workaround for the lack of that signature.

I'm thinking the UK govt will essentially cave to avoid a spectacle and have Trump speak in some other suitable location if not the parliament.

Possibly a blessing in disguise for Trump anyway. There was always a risk some of the more radical MPs would yell their way through it. George Galloway is no longer present I'm assuming the UK has others.

The buildup of extreme anti Trump from other, and significant nations is a good thing. He has embarrassed the US, with him at the helm the US has ever decreasing credibility. But, should he automagically be removed from office, all that will be resolved. That is quite a carrot for the growing numbers off Republican officials, and the courts to dwell on. This isn't a fairly weak President who over the last 14 months has made mistakes. He has moved his campaign to the Oval Office, and all this in 17 days. I think many felt he would calm down, make mistakes, etc. Its a good thing he is this bad, otherwise he would be there for four years. He is ruining his country in a matter of less than 3 weeks, its a farce. 12 months.

It's a statement of fact. He's a deeply unpopular Speaker by modern standards who has called the office into disrepute on a number of occasions and made some very iffy decisions regarding the spending of public money.

Donald Trump has yet to do a single thing I would object to, so that really won't work as an insult if you intended it to be one.
