Donald Trump Stomps Marco Rubio On Florida Home Turf

Very bad news for the Florida senator ... (and the rest of us) undecided

"If we're going to be the party of fear, we're going to spend some time in the wilderness," Rubio said.

"If we're the party of fear, with a candidate who basically is trying to prey upon people's fears to get them to vote for them, I think we're going to pay a big price in November and beyond."

I noticed the other day we get a lot of news coverage about Rubio but very little about Cruz. This is strange because Cruz is #2 in this race.

Rubio was coming up to a do-or-die test with florida ( he failed)- thus was much more newsworthy, also he is the "establishment" choice now the Jeb is gone,

Cruz, is seen by the party as being almost as far "out there" as Trump, -(He proposed a wall with in 2010 and 2012 , long before Trump )

A Trump candiature or a convention choice between Trump and Cruz will show just how completly broken politics in the US is.....

Years ago I went to a seminar and the presenter said, and he was quoting someone else, "When we make our decisions based on fear, we live a second class life."

That statement has stuck in my mind and guided me also.

Now it appears, that is what Trump supporters are doing.

The US Gallup polls:

Trump's Popularity in Context

"Donald Trump is broadly unpopular with national adults, more so than any other major candidate of either party.
"Over the past week (Feb. 26-March 3), Trump was seen favorably by 30% of the country, while twice as many U.S. adults saw the GOP front-runner unfavorably (63%).
"But none of the other major presidential candidates have very positive images either, although no one's image is as negative as Trump's. ..."

Favorability: People in the News

The question:

"Next, we'd like to get your overall opinion of some people in the news. As I read each name, please say if you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of these people ..."

                                                  Favorable         Unfavorable

Donald Trump         Feb 2016        30%                 63%

George W Bush      Mar 2009        35%                 63%

Hillary Clinton         Jan 2016         42%                 53%

Barack Obama        Nov 2015        53%                 45%

I think its done. First women president

Trump is winning his partys primary votes. Despite himself. The nation is negative towards the Govt in general

Why she will win is that Democrats will vote hard to keep him out. Some Republicans will abstain as they dont like him. Thats a vote for Hillary Clinton. I can't see it any other way. His hate factor will take away Republican voters that he has alienated. I see a landslide for her, which is not to say she has has won the mandate, she got it by default via Trump's hate factor hurting his party followers

There was talk that he is there to get her in. That doesnt sound so stupid now, as he is knowingly trying to win the Republican nomination and trying to lose the election by getting the people against him. Its easy to imagine given the discontent over there, that his fame, fortune, forcefulness could have been used very positively to crush the Democrats in the election. It's like he has aimed not to to do that. Bizarre
