Klinger wasn't transgender. He was transvestite, something altogether different. No problem at all with marines in miniskirts storming the barricades.

That's true (almost - he wasn't really transvestite - jut cross-dressed in attempt to get a psychiatric discharge)

Trump wouldn't know the difference...

Oh wait... he probably would....

Damn, we'll never beat that one. He's going to be impeached and jailed any day now, right?

...Right?

But then the dissection of how it all went so horribly wrong will begin. I imagine there's still an awful lot of skeletons hiding in the closet, and there will be analysis from pundits for years to come.

Just remember what happened the last time. All those episodes of MASH weren't for nothing.

Yep. North invaded South. No amount of US troops, napalm, can beat hidden guerilla's. Different ball game now. Nuked and gone. Their nuclear sites at least. However, China is the new player. I believe China is very happy with the way it is today. US at arms length in the region, as that's China's region. It all comes down to KJU's trigger finger, and much more so, causing deaths by way of a test accident. China being there does mean a stalemate which is a good thing, but it also keeps the issue alive.

A Nuclear strike on North Korea, which I believe will not happen, will affect and cause fatalities far wider than the Korean peninsular. Main Land China, Japan and Russia.

For sure. The US wont pull the first trigger. That just leaves NK

PRNK wont attack China, that's their only friend. And they wont attack the US as you say. So what your saying is let them do whatever test they like as we all know they wont do anything? Thats what the world is allowing. China is allowing.

A) Why would a rogue country be allowed to do what it likes?

B) Whats wrong once the test missile leaves PRNK waters that it gets shot down?

C) And what happens if and when a test fails and inadvertently lands in Japan and kills citizens?

That's not what I'm saying.

But why can other countries develop and test missiles, but it's not OK for North Korea? Because we don't agree with their politics?

What if North Korea shot down a US missile test over international waters?

I assume other countries are are in agreeance with the UN. Unsure about India/Pakistan though. NK is a rogue state. I assume if the US ran tests thats in accordance with UN.

My issue is that China is just sitting and watching, they are probably happy with these tests as they prefer PRNK to be anti US than for anything to soften.

Of course China is happy. Unlike many Western countries, China wants to dominate the world. It seems that way anyway. They buy property all over the world. And wants to be best in sport. Might as well get rid of the USA in the mean time. Well, not completely rid, they still need USA to buy their stuff and repay the trillions owed in debt ...

The "US" might not. But just wait till Ivanka has another brilliant idea and Trump might send a tweet. Btw has Jared Kushner been handed the other key to the nukes yet? Not yet? I'm sure Ivanka's on to it ...

The wider problem is that tensions are very high. In this kind of situation anything could happen leading to loss of lives. The US is clearly pursuing a risky strategy for the region, with very little risk to the USA.

Death of a F*** Salesman:

Trump is the political version of a pickup artist, and Republicans — and America — went to bed with him convinced that he was something other than what he is. Trump inherited his fortune but describes himself as though he were a self-made man.

He has had a middling career in real estate and a poor one as a hotelier and casino operator but convinced people he is a titan of industry. He has never managed a large, complex corporate enterprise, but he did play an executive on a reality show. He presents himself as a confident ladies’ man but is so insecure that he invented an imaginary friend to lie to the New York press about his love life and is now married to a woman who is open and blasé about the fact that she married him for his money. He fixates on certain words (“negotiator”) and certain classes of words (mainly adjectives and adverbs, “bigly,” “major,” “world-class,” “top,” and superlatives), but he isn’t much of a negotiator, manager, or leader. He cannot negotiate a health-care deal among members of a party desperate for one, can’t manage his own factionalized and leak-ridden White House, and cannot lead a political movement that aspires to anything greater than the service of his own pathetic vanity.

China is VERY western. 153 KFC's in Beijing or was that Macca's?  Yes, debt, less then Japan, similar to the US, but its new country, not old like the US.

US sees itself as the monitor of the world and peace.
