kingdragonfly: Trump exploits loophole to hire foreign workers at Mar-a-Lago

Nothing new here - he has been doing this for several decades.

Trump is a greedy amoral egomaniac - what else would you expect?  undecided

Trump received news DPRNK may have miniaturized nuclear warheads and had this to say in relation to if they ever threaten the US again: [they] "will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen".

Not quite my idea of harmless.

The US  launched an attack on Iraq based on false evidence - but GWB was only half crazy.

Trump is using BS claims about DPRK having miniaturised nuclear weapons as a distraction.  If he had his way then he  probably would launch a preemptive strike on DPRK - then when there's no retaliatory strike on the US, he'd be crowing about how successful it had been.

A couple of days ago he was claiming sole credit for "fixing" the DPRK issue through UN sanctions.

This is all about Trump - who believes himself to be the most important person in the world.

Quite possible of course, but I think this has been driven by a second assessment on Monday from the Japanese Ministry of Defense that concludes there is evidence to suggest that North Korea has achieved miniaturization. This backs up the views of an earlier confidential US Defense Intelligence Agency report that was broken to the Washington Post July 28.

Regardless, we have two mad men at the controls!

Yep. North Korea's rhetoric is all about threats. Trump has really painted himself into a corner with this one.

Even more concerning according to the CNN US feed at this time

North Korea threatens preemptive strike on Guam according to the North Korean news agency.

Trump threatens war ...... NK responds. The Cuban missile crisis springs to mind.

Not the Cuban missile crisis. Not even close. Kennedy was a calm, steady hand. Nothing like that this time.

Fair assessment. Trump threatens war in response to a country's verbal threats - that appears to be the way that many are seeing this, including NK. Trump obviously has not fully considered the End Game in this war of words.

I don't think Trump ever considers anything in his flow of words. He will be sitting in the Oval Office tweeting 'I am the GREATEST' as the bombs rain down.

That moron. That's almost a plagiarism of what Truman said to the Japanese before they dropped the bomb on Hiroshima:

It was to spare the Japanese people from utter destruction that the ultimatum of July 26 was issued at Potsdam. Their leaders promptly rejected that ultimatum. If they do not now accept our terms they may expect a rain of ruin from the air, the like of which has never been seen on this earth.

And KJU has? He issues threats, Trump issues counter threats. None of it useful, but also none of it more one persons fault than the other. Two egomaniacs who will not back down because they think it will be seen as a sign of weakness.

It's a bit like two drunken idiots in a pub hurling insults and squaring up - neither will back down so it requires the intervention of one or more third parties to separate the protagonists. Then the drunks can both go home in piece with each saying "I woulda had that F%#$er!!".

As yet, there's no third parties stepping up to the plate.

Meanwhile .... the flow of NK rhetoric. This link gives an interesting insight and actual quote from the Spokesman For KPA Strategic Force  as reported to KCNA

A classic Big Dick contest.

I hope he is. I'd hate to think a bunch of people wasted the last precious minutes of time with their families to whisk him away somewhere so he can carry on tweeting his outrage over the smoking remains of civilisation.
